Chris Simms ranks CBs:
1 McCoy
2 Cisse
3 Hood
4 Delane

He and his Unbuttoned buddy really dig into the details of these guy.
These rankings are a bit different than what we're used to seeing...it makes me realize how different each teams' draft board can be.
...this should be interesting - only about 2 weeks away!
Cisse is my guy in this draft, but the Rams already took care of business at starting CB.
1) drafting a CB at #13 at this point would be surprising.
2) I don’t see Cisse being there at #61

Okay but hear me out, that's basically what he is and how he's used in college.

I'm not asking to change his game, his game remains the same in my above comment - I'm just saying he's a glorified TE and really just a big slot so why not just lean into what he is, have him lean out and see if he can get a tad faster and more bendy in his cuts.

Playing him at Y TE or as a move TE in the NFL will be changing his game.
Generally it seems TEs go the other direction as far as weight goes as they get older but of course every player is different. I wonder if he can be a good blocker. Possibly/probably.

I have to admit to not ever seeing him play.

What was crazy about Tavon is how bad his luck was…like how many TDs were run back and flagged away from the play?

That day he had over 300 all purpose yards was wild and showed his ceiling, but under Fisher? No chance.
Not that I ever thought it was a good idea drafting Austin in the 1rst (let alone moving up for him!), but man, he had some rotten luck on those returns, didn’t he?

That game you speak of, I believe, was the colts game. Had to be his greatest game as a pro. What stands out is his poor decision to field a punt inside the 5 that is obviously on its way into the end zone. All he did was run it back about 98 yards for a TD.

To be fair, I never thought Fisher and staff knew what to do with him. That pick killed the Fisher regime. It was their moment to build on a great first season and catapult the Rams into a contender. They needed an offense. They gave up a 2nd and a 1rst for Tavon Austin.

Los Angeles Rams

Picks: Nos. 13, 61, 93, 207, 232, 251, 252

With the Rams aggressively shoring up their secondary, which direction will they go in the draft?

Rams general manager Les Snead has said the team's philosophy is to take care of major roster holes during free agency, so it doesn't need to be as desperate come the draft. By retooling their cornerbacks room, the Rams no longer have a glaring positional need. But given the lack of depth at receiver behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, it would make sense for Los Angeles to add a pass catcher early. The Rams aren't sure how much longer quarterback Matthew Stafford will play, so it would make sense to give him as many scoring threats as possible to maximize his remaining playing window. -- Sarah Barshop

What we're hearing about the Rams' draft: The Rams don't do top-30 visits or workouts, which makes it harder to discern a draft direction, but sources around the league have pointed at linebacker as an early-round target. With receiver seeming like an obvious pick at No. 13, linebacker is the most likely direction in Round 2, especially if Josiah Trotter (Missouri) is available. -- Miller
Am I reading/inferring this right?
1) the Rams are dancing to a different beat than the status quo (I think we knew that)
2) people, especially other teams, are trying to figure out where the Rams are going in the draft? Yet they have not mentioned “inside sources”,

I love it.
