Let's see what shitty player the 69ers pick next. I, for one, would be happy if they picked another running back.

The Niners continue to kill it with late-round picks. Ephesians Prysock was one of the two CB prospects on my target list for Day 3 selections along with Hezekiah Masses.

Nice pick by the Texans. Kamari Ramsey is a solid safety, could've gone in the third round without any complaints.

EDIT: And the Titans picked Carmona. I actually think it's a good pick; Carmona was rated as a potential third-round pick last year, stayed in school, didn't have the year he had last year. He was one of my late round sleepers, but I suppose the fifth round for him isn't bad.

Surprised that Nussmeier is sliding so far down. Anyone think he's a fifth-round pick steal by someone, or does he slip to the sixth or seventh?

EDIT: The Browns do have four fifths. Maybe they add another face to the quarterback graveyard?

If they are going to trade up, this is the first round of today (the fifth) where there is a realistic chance of doing so.

Not sure there is anyone left that I love enough to do so at this point.

McVay doing a great job cleaning up the optics which seem to indicate exactly what we suspected. Ego's, personalities and respect were influencing his demeanor and not dissension between he and Les

I'm actually not that surprised after recently finding out about that cyst around his spine. I still like him but I could see him falling further now, unfortunately.

That is unfortunate. Were Simpson not our selection, I might decide to trade up for Nussmeier.

A little surprised that Cole Payton and Taylen Green aren't off the board yet as well. Both are extremely athletic quarterbacks with size and great arms. Payton's issue is that he's from a D2 school, Green needs to answer questions about his accuracy, but those are quarterbacks with potential.

I think Mcvay and Snead are perfect compliments to each other. Sean is an x's and o's guy who is more focused on how he can generate mismatches while Snead is a GM who has to take contracts, roster construction, long term things, etc under consideration. So my honest guess is that Mcvay likes Simpson but is prioritizing Stafford and this window while Les is thinking long term. Hence the healthy ego clash you mentioned. But I bet they're better for it.

Hags just traded up for one of the Browns' picks.

And the Commodes with an excellent pick in Joshua Josephs. Could be another stud edge rusher out of Tennessee.

That, I could get behind. Brian Thomas Jr. is remarkably talented, young, and he's a good rebound candidate.
I would rather have Pickens

Both are divas but BTJ looked to me like he has some quit in him - and Pickens is more talented. @Memphis Ram brought up Aiyuk - and that feels unrealistic but also I kind of love the idea of having a guy want to fuck the 9ers twice a year.

We’re still 60 picks away from picking. All these guys that you want still in the board - they will all be gone by the time we pick.

Man y’all are some masochistic group!

I'm not surprised. For whatever reason, I got the sense that teams were generally dismissing this draft class with regards to QBs. I'm sure they like a few including those that you've named but I'm guessing they figure they don't have to prioritize going after them with even early Day 3 picks. I think most teams probably have a bunch of them grouped together in a similar tier of grading and may be waiting for a run on quarterbacks before pulling the trigger on taking one, but I don't see such a run coming soon. Maybe late in the fifth round?

Haven't heard diva issues with BTJ, and a lot of the "quit" could be injuries; he was injured all last year and didn't produce like he's capable of.

Pickens is far more talented, but also far more mercurial and when Pittsburgh and Dallas, two teams that don't mind divas at receiver, both quit on you, that's an enormous red flag.
