All that being said, I think 215 is a bit of a threshold for QBs holding up reasonably well in the NFL.
As a rule.....but there will be exceptions. I'd like to see Simpson get a little thicker. A little. But is 5 lbs going to protect him much? I can't wait to see the kid play.......I don't want to suggest I'm looking forward to the preseason as much as the season but it's a helluva lot closer this year than any I can remember. By far.

5 lbs of weight (especially muscle) is a big deal but we probably don't think so cause we're pissing and sh*tting all the time and gaining and dropping 3lbs of weight daily.

That's why weight is just such a bad indicator of things but useful as an overall benchmark. I think 5lbs that gets you to a benchmark/threshold is a big deal - especially if you don't have a frame that will take much more - and some frames are mogged out!

When push comes to shove, I'm going to trust McSnead.

But, I do wish he was two inches taller and had less injuries this last year.

Of course, if that were the case we would have had to add a couple of future firsts to go up and get him.

I'm coming around on him and will be pulling for him, but he certainly wasn't the guy I had initially wanted.

God, camp can't get here fast enough so at least we can critique his play and not all this other stuff. If he's more than a week at 3rd team though... welcome to the war zone!

If he was 2 inches taller he goes Top 3, not Top 13. The height is one of the reasons the pick is so polarizing across the League. Amount of College starts being the biggest.

As I've said buddy, i disagree with this premise. We dont know what Stetson IS this year and he has a 3-year headstart on the kid.

This is just how I see it, the way you see it is just as valid of course.

And the fact he had 3 injuries in one year. I am really hoping that NFL conditioning will fix that.

A lot of this is placing bets on what we think, I'm quite comfortable placing bets that Stetson is a lovely scout team QB and nothing more. But I can lose the bet for sure.
