Yikes! If accurate, that's high for the Rams.
Aaron Wilson is the same guy that last night, listed Tim Keenen as a 'post-draft' addition.

I know Villari is a TE but I am thinking ... Special Teams skill-set?

Thought one or two of the late seventh round picks might be ST-specific for Ventrone but they were traded.

Was also thinking the Wake Forrest safety Nick Andersen might be a special teams guy.
Yeah, apparently former QB and also played wildcat QB at times at Syracuse. Could fill a few roles. Problem is they already have 5 TEs that should stick.

He's not. He is in the bottom half of the league in both kick and punt return average. That one game was extra bad but on the whole he is sub par. He should be upgraded.
It may be McVays decision to fair catch most balls.

I can see where he would just prefer to be conservative regarding the return game and put the ball in the hands of Stafford.

Personally, I’d like to see a dangerous return specialist.
We haven’t had one since Tony Horn.

Only problem is that I believe the muffed punt was a fair catch attempt so nothing is simple.

It has to be considered tentative because undrafted free agents can change their minds (take better deals) before they officially sign; and some sites, sources and reports are in error but below are the eighteen names I have read in more than one source ...

Wesley Bailey (Edge), Eddie Walls (Edge); Nikhai Hill-Green (LB), Darryl Peterson (LB)

Dean Connors (RB), Matthew Caldwell (QB); Dan Villari (TE … large signing bonus), Rohan Jones (TE)

Offensive Linemen Bryce Henderson (OT), Austin Blaske (OL) and Chad Lindberg (C/G)

Defensive Linemen Payton Zdroik, Jalen Logan-Redding and Jaxson Moi

Defensive Backs Nyzier Fourqurean (CB), Drey Norwood (CB), Azillon Hamilton (CB) and Nick Andersen (S)

They don't seem as concerned with returns as I am. A little frustrated about that.
I know we're still pissed about Smith's fumbles last game. But aside from that game he's been a decent return guy. He's also had his moments catching passes downfield. I think he's probably planned to be the return guy. Maybe he'll get a chance to redeem himself.

Offensive Linemen Bryce Henderson (OT), Austin Blaske (OL) and Chad Lindberg (C/G)
No left tackles of this group. Henderson has never started at LT, only RT, Blaske had two starts at LT, but mainly an interior OL and Lindberg had 268 snaps at Center, without giving up a sack.

Gotta remember three Ram TEs are FAs next year. With so many players on D to resign, along with FA OL and Puka to resign, I think the Rams will keep a couple of TE options stashed on the PS to fill out the TE room in 27.

Agree ... I haven't read much about most of the 18 listed Rams' UDFAs ... waiting for a confirmed list.

Right now, I see Camp bodies and ... Maybe ... a Practice Squad spot for one of them ... no more.

Early interest is in two groups
... the 4 LBs and Edge because there may be a spot or two on the 53; and certainly a few Practice Squad spots
... Special Teams ... and I am wondering about the LBs, Connors and ... especially safety Nick Andersen

Andersen was a team captain at Wake Forrest and looks like someone who wants to fly around and hit people because he genuinely enjoys it ... a bad quality in a civilized society but ideal for a Special Teams demon.

Right now, I count just 8 DBs likely to make the 53 (McDuffie, Watson, Lake, Curl, Kinchens, Forbes, McCollough and Wallace). There will be 1 or 2 more, probably including another CB. There may be a spot for Andersen.

At this early point in time rookie Keagen Trost has a one man mission to become that LT Alaric Jackson back up that the 32 yr old well seasoned LT Humphries failed at.

Last preseason Rams used KT Leveston primarily at the LT post with AJ Arcuri working the swint OT role in the 3 preseason games. Humphrries saw little to no PS gm action.

Trost does have the experience lacks a little in length, but hopefully will be the swing tackle besides have experience at every other OL position besides Center.

Xavier Smith is a fine returner. One awful game doesn't change that IMO.
I think it does. As much for Smith as for the team. I don't think he returns kicks next year. Maybe I'm overreacting... but I think the emotional impact of him muffing another punt could be bad for a locker room. That was a catastrophic and unforced error at a key moment.. those things can stick.

But, I think the kid has legitimate value as a WR now, so he stays.

From the very limited downs that veteran RT David Queesenberry took last season (even at his advanced age & mostly on ST's) He appears to have plenty left in the tank to cover that right side @ RG & RT. Thus the new one yr contract earlier this year.

OT AJ Arcuri never saw the field in regular season in 2025. However in preseason he was a full time OL'er in all 3 gms. Arcuri (preseason) played all four OL positions. He did get numerous snaps @ LT & his performance was excellent. He has lost close to 30 pounds lbs since being drafted. His feet look much lighter from yrs past. Snead gave AJ Arcuri a 2 yr contract early this yr.
