Most *older* stadiums, yes. But there's no reason the architects for a brand new stadium, prolly very experienced designing stadiums & being paid quite a large design fee, can't do an "obstructed view" check. I will say... the interns coming out of school aren't what they used to be.I've always wondered about this.
When i query for (or post) tickets for sale, the sites usually have a filter/field for "Obstructed Seats". So is this just the way it is for other (MOST?) stadiums?
Anyway, it's possible the ownership was made aware of this, and decided to offer "obstructed view" PSL's vs. the cost of all the structural gymnastics to prevent it. Creating an all-vomitory type stairway layout might even result in reduced # of seating. Lots of considerations, and when presented with the options, most Owners will default to the lowest initial cost / highest ROI solution.
