So tell me how he did in the college playoffs against better competition? Not great but hey, he's number 1 lol...... sorry but I believe there's just better players available at 13.

I've said plenty of times, I'd trade one of our RBs away to get capital back if we somehow drafted Love. He'd elevate this offense big time. Doubt we'll have a shot though. He's gonna be a problem in the league.

IMO, in order for the selection to make the most sense at #13 the Rams would have to use him the same way I envisioned Bowers a few years back.

And that is as a potential Kyle Juszczyk, Sam Laporta, and Debo Samuel rolled into one that leans more towards a positionless football ideology on offense. He'd be a FB, H-Back, Slot, TE, X, Y, Z...12345. depending upon the play.

That would be a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses not only due to the confusion and his physical attributes, but most importantly because he blocks so darn well.

Without that creativity the Rams should probably just pass on him.

Nah we know, the secondary overall needs an overhaul and that includes adding any talent. You mean to tell me if a lets say a safety like Caleb Downs fell, the Rams would be silly to draft him because we need corners? When Lake went down, our defense eroded into a shittier defense. Can't go wrong going after better talent.

IMO, we shouldn't get too caught up on the specific pick number 13, 29, etc. Snead targets players they like and then moves around for appropriate value.

If they like Sadiq maybe they trade back and take him around 20th.

If the Rams don’t secure a top FA CB (Dean, Watson, ATaylor, NWright) or trade (McDuffie) they have failed the offseason. Need some top vet help badly.

Weak argument. Puka had 4 catches for 36 yards against ranked teams in college. If you have a coach that can utilize your skill sets appropriately, you perform. McVay would go wild with him on the team.

The Rams need an overhaul of the entire DB room. Need some sticky, strong, physical dogs. IMO other than Lake we have 0 that fit that bill. Maybe McCreary can rise to that level with some help but didn’t see that in his limited time last year.

Weak rebuttal, Puka got drafted way late so much so that the Rams brass and fans didn't know he'd be this good. You're not even making an apples to apples comparison but thanks for playing lol.....TEs take time to come along. Ferguson did more than Sadiq and even he couldn't get on the field or have an impact right away. TE is a notoriously hard position to come in and do well right away, but we've been spoiled with some of the college ones recently.

I'm no mathematician but...

Let's say we play 13 personnel 50% of the time like we were trending last year and 11 personnel the other 50%. Obviously there would be some 12 personnel sprinkled in but I'm going to try and make this simple.

The average game has a little more than 60 snaps on offense. That means 30 snaps in 13 personnel and 30 snaps in 11 personnel. So 120 snaps total for your TEs.

In theory with the hypothetical 4 TEs we would have, that would mean you could play your star TE Sadiq 45 snaps (75%), Ferguson and Parkinson 30 snaps each (50%), and Davis Allen 15 snaps leftover (25%). If it pans out like that, Sadiq would be well worth the first round investment and Ferguson and Parkinson would still be worth the 2nd round and FA cash investments we've made in those guys, respectively. And of course this is assuming no injuries and we're likely late into year 1 or in year 2 of the Sadiq experiment and he's proven himself capable of handling that much PT.

After crunching those numbers I looked at last year's TE snaps and you had Colby with 54% of the snaps, Davis Allen with 51% of the snaps, an injured Higbee with 32%, and Ferguson with 31%. And that's after playing 13 personnel 30% of the time last year.

I think you may have UNDER-sold yourself sir ...

But Sean McVay was on record for having Puka targeted because he had a specific plan for him, and look how that turned out.

So exactly as I said before, if a coach can utilize a players skill sets appropriately, they will produce. This comes back to coaching…and we have the best in the biz.
