If there is one guy I believe in, who might be able to make a difference, its Troy VincentI’ll hold my breath.
Who? I was thinking Stafford but he only had 1 year left on his deal with Detroit, not the 3/4 Burrow hasReminds me of an elite QB on a losing, non-playoff team for multiple seasons ... three straight.
You read that ('it reminds me') just a little ... Too Literally.Who? I was thinking Stafford but he only had 1 year left on his deal with Detroit, not the 3/4 Burrow has
The only way I see it as possible is if he would be available but not worth the 50+ mill per year contract he carries with him.I don't see any way now, or three months from now ... But ... 15 months from now? ... ... ... Just Maybe
All true but absolutes go out the window if Burrow is ready to play the nuclear card and punch out.The only way I see it as possible is if he would be available but not worth the 50+ mill per year contract he carries with him.
I dont want to put any bad juju on him but if he has another season ending injury in 2026, and the team craps the bed again, then I could see them trying to move on. And frankly, under those circumstances, no way would he be worth the haul it would take to get him
If he is back to his all Pro self in '26, there is no way he gets traded
Lightning struck with Stafford, the team sucked, he was a loyal soldier at the end of his deal, Detroit was able to save face in trading the legend by allowing him to be part of the decision. And the haul they received was legendary, almost Herschel Walker like.
Burrow? Its comparing apples to a polar bear
Agree almost across the board but I don’t feel a Stafford comparison is necessary, with the exception that the Rams under McVay and Snead think and act aggressively and out of the box … with the approval and support of Demoff and Kroenke. The only way I see it as possible is if he would be available but not worth the 50+ mill per year contract he carries with him.

They do not have the resources to trade for an available, pro bowl level Burrow. The Stafford trade comp is required because that would be the starting pointAgree almost across the board but I don’t feel a Stafford comparison is necessary, with the exception that the Rams under McVay and Snead think and act aggressively and out of the box … with the approval and support of Demoff and Kroenke.

I remember my first beer tooI will take credit as being the first one to mention the possibility of a Joe Burrow trade this past summer.![]()
On the contrary, Im not complicating anything, Its not complicated at all, because it wont happen. Pretty simple.Maybe
You're complicating things about a situation that 6-8 months ago, I suggested could happen in two years provided other stuff happened.
Well, one of those things did happen (another disappointing and frustrating Bengals' non-playoff season); and now, it's still another 14-15 months away from being a possibility.
It's early to get into specifics ... cap implications, trade comp, other teams in the mix ... ALL legit concerns.
I don’t understand how you can be so certain that Joe Burrow would not request a trade in 2027; and Cincinnati might pursue options. On the contrary, Im not complicating anything, Its not complicated at all, because it wont happen. Pretty simple.
Dont recall saying that he wouldnt request a trade, saying that he wont be traded to the Rams.I don’t understand how you can be so certain that Joe Burrow would not request a trade in 2027; and Cincinnati might pursue options.
But these discussions make fan forums enjoyable.
