Yeah. Pretty ridiculous to use that “win” as a feather in his cap.
It's like the MLB rule that a Starting Pitcher must go 5 innings to get credit for a win.

A starter can pitch 4 2/3 perfect innings and leave (say, with a blister) with a 10-0 lead. A middle-inning guy can get the final out of the fifth, come out of the game and HE gets the win.

The dude was erratic as hell and had a difficult time keeping Desmond Ridder on the bench. Minshew played better and he’s what?… battling to be the backup in KC? Color me unimpressed with O’Connell.

I’m not necessarily impressed with Bennett either. But lamenting that we didn’t take a QB like O’Connell over him is a fool’s errand.

And so… you think O’Connell would have sniffed the grass with us? :laugh4:

This O’Connel stuff is being taken out of context. The replies about OConnel being more accomplished than Bennett all started with this comment.

Actually, I think that post is out of context.

My point is aimed at those who think we should have taken O’Connell and continue to lament the fact we didn’t.

Never mind the fact that teams constantly make choices their fans don’t understand. But seriously, even bringing this one up is pretty lame. I can actually see the TuTu/Humphries debate. I just don’t see this one as being a worthwhile pursuit.

Lame was the assertion that by O'Connell breaking his wrist, the Rams made the right choice.

Well, let's see how their careers would be right now, meaning their development as players, if O'Connell was here and Bennett was drafted by Vegas?

I am guessing O'Connell would be way ahead of Bennett at this point.

It all was derived by @TheTackle comment. Without that comment nobody would be talking about it. Nobody even thought about it until then.

He won the game by running head first into a lber and getting knocked out very early. Thus allowing Goff to enter the game.

If wolford was on the field the whole game the Rams would not have won.

Do people honestly care about how good the Raiders injured backup QB is or not?

Not really, just pointing out that Bennett's in a great spot comoared yo tge itger guy...and I like the Bennett. I just don't think he is big enough to be a starting QB that can last a season.
