Not sure Hampton would fill the same kind of role (a little light in the pants)

Certainly not the same kind of role ... different body type ... but Hampton could allow the Defense to go in a slightly different direction. For example, many of us were frustrated when Hoecht was in coverage. Hampton could be more effective in that role.

It’s kind of funny that, out of all the DL you could have mentioned, you pick Carter.

The very guy that Limmer didn’t even try to block on the critical 3rd and three play.

I agree with your post but if Limmer, or any center, had just gotten in front of Carter on that play … even if he was run-over … it may have given Stafford and Higbee the extra second that could have put the Rams in the NFC Championship Game.
Sorry for the painful memory lol

Oh man, remember Trumaine? He was a very good number 2 CB, maybe a low end number 1, we weren't gonna pay him though so we let him walk to the Jets and he was out of football in like two years. Not sure what happened.
Sort of the Az-Zahir Hakeem of Cornerbacks...

I understand players on the fringe doing what they have to. Don't agree, but understand. It's the difference between getting paid to play a game they love and going to work construction or in cubicle-land.

As long as he can play scout team in training camp and play in preseason games his roster spot is safe until September.
He probably needs all the performance enhancing drugs that money can buy.

Well, he's Bob Stoops's son, so he'll find a job in coaching, if he wants one, once he's done in the NFL.
