A hot mess team may sign him after his 10 game suspension... LOL

I doubt a hot mess team signs him. I figure the only way he makes it back this year is if a playoff team late in the season loses a kicker. otherwise I think captain happy ending is done.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45589819/browns-release-ogbo-okoronkwo-sign-kicker-andre-szmyt

The Cleveland Browns released defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo on Thursday.

The pass rusher had one year left on a three-year, $19 million contract he signed with the franchise in 2023.

After he was released, he expressed his thanks to the Browns and their fans with a post to X, writing, "Love to the Land!"

Okoronkwo, 30, had 7.5 sacks, 54 tackles and a forced fumble in 30 games over two seasons for the Browns, making five starts.

The 2018 fifth-round pick of the Los Angeles Rams has 17 sacks in six seasons.

The Browns signed kicker Andre Szmyt in a corresponding move.

Always thought this dude was going to be a stud. Just never was able to put it altogether and stay healthy.

Yikes, they lose Minkah??? whoa.
And gain another high-maintenance personality in the lockerroom??
Yeah that's a weird lateral move. Strangely enough I like Tomlin navigating these big personalities, but only if there's a window in mind. Not a one year thing.

"As part of the trade, the Dolphins are sending a 2027 seventh-round pick to the Steelers and will receive a 2027 fifth-round pick back from Pittsburgh."

Yeah, I'm confused by how much the Dolphins got from this trade compared to what we got. Maybe Fitzpatrick has some issues, but I thought he was considered elite.

Either the Rams front office wasn't as good back for that trade or the Steelers are that bad now.
