Two brothers that underachieved, granted both were on terrible teams, and retired due to injuries relatively young.

Of course, you are entitled to your opinion; and some of your Atwell takes are reasonable.

But you hurt yourself with this comment, and your opinion loses credibility.

It’s simply not defendable.

Anyone who follows the NFL and does a quick review of the 2021 Draft, will quickly come to the conclusion that the above statement is ridiculous.
Hater!!

With Carr retiring.. I'm just saying.. I'd at least be looking into what Jimmy G could get in a trade. What if you could get Spencer Rattler and a 3rd or 4th? Is that worth considering? I'm probably greatly overestimating what Jimmy G could get.. but desperate times make for desperate measures.

Tutu is a solid depth WR either way some juice and much needed speed. Has the ability/potential to be used more effectively by the team. That’s it. A solid WR. Won’t be more but a good weapon who can step up for more of a role when someone goes down.

He’s done way more than I expected. Thought he was a horrible pick. He’s a good player.

A couple just can’t move past what could have been in the draft. That’s what is annoying sometimes with fans. They can’t move on. Let that go. We’ve made better and worse picks. But he’s turned into a surprisingly solid WR. I’m happy he’s a Ram. Hopefully we get him the ball in space and many deep TDs this year. Go Rams!

He could have refused to sign him for $10m and said nothing. Sign DRob or Tyler Johnson instead. It's not like his hand was forced.

But you and OS are right: this has been rehashed several times. Cheers.
Agreed. McVay is being disingenuous and then the team turns around and gives Atwell $10 million?? That makes no sense at all.

If I'm the Saints I start the rook. Shough is a good looking prospect, and the Saints have what should be a dominant line plus pretty good weapons.

If Shough sucks then they end up with a high pick in what should be a good QB draft. If he plays well they found their QB.

There are plenty of threads to discuss Tutu or you can start another if you're interested in talking about him. Can we have the transaction thread back please?

I think that's solid thinking, but the Saints in recent years have seemed to do everything they can to avoid bottoming out.

I do agree that they should see what they have in Shough... if you end up with a real QB with that pick, huge value.

Hate may be a strong word in the vacuum of this particular thread, but he most certainly has received it over the last four years. Certainly has not been respected and certainly was portrayed as a wasted draft pick. (And, no, I ain't gonna waste my time trying to quote it - this is a football thread with a bunch of fake GMs sharing opinions - not a courtroom). Anyway, again, it's a matter of perspective. If we did a 20/20 hindsight redraft of 2021, Tutu would be a 1st rounder - probably in the top 15. He's an exciting player and I don't believe he's peaked. I think he'll outperform other veteran WRs making $10 million. We'll see.
A 1st? Man, Tutu got some damning evidence on you or something? No way he'd be top 15 in a draft.

Tutu is better than Tyler Johnson and DRob may have a suspension coming.

Or he could just go into the season with two starting receivers. It is a one year deal. Don’t read too much to it. If it was a three year deal, then I’d agree.

What 60 receptions in 4 years and now he's a top 15 pick? I have a pair of rose colored glasses too but wow
Ha. I probably do, but try and list 32 better players from that draft. Not saying he's top 15 or a first rounder any other year. That draft was awful. Might be able to get 15 better, but nobody is getting 32 better. I think he's easily be a 1st rounder in a redraft.

I count 41.

If you go past his pick I’m sure there will be a few guys that should have been picked ahead of him too.

This is my last Tutu response in a thread dedicated to NFL transactions so move along. Welcome to the board but move this to a thread dedicated to him or that draft. Maybe I'll answer your 32 question there and it shouldn't be hard.

Again, false
He underperformed in his 4 seasons compared to his draft position.
That’s not “hate”
