Damn near comical these days. What's the over/under he'll fuck it all up within a year? Or maybe this will turn him into a modern day citizen. A modern day citizen would've been fucked! Roll the dice on Rasheed Rice. 7 out!

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Rashee Rice has been sentenced to “five years probation and 30 days of jail time that can be served during those five years stemming from his role in a multi-car crash in Dallas.”
As Schefter notes, the NFL can now ramp up its disciplinary process for Rice. That is all but guaranteed to result in a multi-game suspension, though the exact length is unclear. The legal issue appeared to be one for Rice to deal with in 2026, but the suspension is likely going to come down in the 2025 season at this point, hamstringing Rice’s fantasy value as he looks to return from the season-ending knee injury he suffered last year. That will also give Xavier Worthy a path to cement himself as the team’s primary underneath option while Rice is sidelined. Worthy struggled as a deep threat in 2024 but made progress over the second half of the season as the Chiefs transitioned him to a YAC-focused role. Travis Kelce should also see an uptick in targets as long as Rice is out. Kelce averaged 23 yards per game in Rice’s three full appearances last year. He upped that to 58 yards over his final 13 regular season games.

I'm curious if anyone on here related to law and justice can attest to 5 years of probation. Any one else would be serving federal time. Just my opinion.

I’m just seeing this now, but why the hell are we still arresting people for marijuana lmao
It's about how much he was carrying. What he was charged with was for having 2+ ounces which it seems they feel signals that you're selling it I'm guessing? If he'd have had less than 2 ounces it wouldn't be a crime in Texas.

Less than 2 ounces is a Class B misdemeanor:

TX H&S Code Sec 428.121
"(a) Except as authorized by this chapter, a person commits an offense if the person knowingly or intentionally possesses a usable quantity of marihuana.
(b) An offense under Subsection (a) is:
(1) a Class B misdemeanor if the amount of marihuana possessed is two ounces or less;"

Edit: Turpin was charged with possession of less than 2 ounces

And just how many dumbasses do they have to draft/sign before it’s considered a trend and we start to wonder about their due diligence vs many other teams? Some teams have their WTFs but the Browns have made a science of it.
Yeah, I'm no shrink, but I think there's some syndrome where black sheep kids start acting like they are treated.

"Oh the Browns are going to draft me?!! Fine. Get me a fifth of scotch and the car keys. How do you like me now?!"

Thank you for the correction I misread it. He's lucky it wasn't over 2 ounces.

I did a couple years probation before I was 18 and I will just say that 5 years of probation would be very hard. But then my probation officer was a special kind of asswipe. For example I told him I was going to take the GED in a couple weeks so he waited until after I took it then arrested me for the classes I ditched prior (school arrests were his specialty lol). That dude had a huge chip on his shoulder from falling out of the academy or something.

Now would they fuck with an NFL player like that? Idk. But they have a lot of power to interfere with your life and if you fuck up stand by.

Yeah just guessing here too for the record as those days are way in the past for me. But used to be that if you got caught past a certain point that qualified as intent to sell, and if you were within range of a school, shit got ugly. Not sure if that's still the case, but I recall thinking back in the day when I would do these things that just about anywhere is close to a school. :laugh3:

Jesus, what a moron. Loser on and off the field. He's making a run at Lawrence Phillips as the worst draft pick we've ever made.
Stupid motherfuckers are always going to have a hard time finding success. Even when they're insanely talented for the NFL.

Appears that Yahoo article regarding Robinson's arrest is 3 1/2 years old (February, 2022).

Curious about what happened. Did a quick internet search but did not find much. Did not care enough to look further.

Oh, hmm. K. Well I knew he had gotten arrested once for it back in 2020 or whenever that was and forgot he gotten arrested a second time so I guess it was kind of new information lol.

Yeah, that article gives some background ...
a 2020 arrest in Texas for 157 pounds of marijuana (basically, a 3-day weekend for @Loyal and his friends); and this 2022 bust in Louisiana for crystal meth, coke, crack, pills and another 39 pounds of marijuana.

No idea how the legal process played-out, or where Robinson is today.

What made me laugh, was the article estimated the value of the drugs at $120,000; and, two paragraphs later, mentioned that Robinson 'earned more than $29M in his playing career' ... I assume "earned" is a miss-print.
