I think Weaver's problem was that he had difficulty in contain versus the Run. IF he can take over for Hampton as the designated pass rusher on long down & distance, I think he's a more formidable pass rusher than Hampton.

I have a crazy thought. I think the Rams should give Kadarius Toney a call and see if he's willing to play HB. This wouldn't be help for this year, as it would take time to train him at a new position, but he's one of the most gifted college players I've seen with the ball in his hands. Things haven't panned out for him at WR, and he's a bit of a headcase, but I'd be interested in seeing what he could do at HB (and as a KR). Cordarrelle Patterson carved out a nice career from himself under similar circumstances (failed at WR and then moved to HB).

Well, his screw ups make you wonder how smart he is. I am not sure I would want a screw up protecting my passer. Remember what happened to Steve Young having the fuck up Lawrance Philips block for him.
