6 QB's drafted in the top 12 this year... how many of those bust? History suggests 3-4? Ouch.Tells you just how bad that QB class was

That is understandable. I know the Chiefs passed on George Pickens last year due to character concerns. The trade off is you can end up with a guy like Skyy Moore.Mitchell came with character concerns, maybe the Bills didn’t want another Diggs situation.

Yay! Finally.
It never made sense that Marshall Faulk got let go after that sexual harassment lawsuit and Michael Irvin didn’t. Marshall was ten times better at broadcasting than Irvin, and easier to understand too.
Goodbye ‘Marble Mouth’ Mike Irvin. I couldn’t stand ya when you played and I still can’t stand ya today.
Maye is very likely to not work out simply because of the team and coaching IMO.I am predicting the following
Penix
McCarthy
Nix
Him too - forgot about himMaye is very likely to not work out simply because of the team and coaching IMO.
The really ironic part is that Rashee Rice absolutely had big character concerns.. welp. That is understandable. I know the Chiefs passed on George Pickens last year due to character concerns. The trade off is you can end up with a guy like Skyy Moore.
There was a running joke going around as watched Pickens put up numbers and as Skyy flopped. "George Pickens had a bad attitude all the way to the end zone." Lol, still hurts. (I wanted Pickens bad.)
I agree as I was never a Mayo fan for a condiment and now that he is the Head Coach of the Patriots I like it even less. Plus Alex Van Pelt will be the OC and IMO, that he will be actually calling plays might not end well for Maye.Maye is very likely to not work out simply because of the team and coaching IMO.
Not a good reason to dislike Mayonnaise.I agree as I was never a Mayo fan for a condiment and now that he is the Head Coach of the Patriots I like it even less. Plus Alex Van Pelt will be the OC and IMO, that he will be actually calling plays might not end well for Maye.

You mean the ‘Itty Bitty WR’ Experiments usually don’t work out? That is understandable. I know the Chiefs passed on George Pickens last year due to character concerns. The trade off is you can end up with a guy like Skyy Moore.

The reasons I'd say Maye is more likely to bust than Penix are supporting cast and OC. I trust Robinson much more than anybody in NE and he actually has some players around him. That's assuming he plays this year which I'm not sure happens which makes him more likely to succeed IMO.Historically QB’s with a new or relatively new Defensive HC which 9/10 times comes with a brand new to the organization OC which don’t workout just based on odds. Then when they get fired the new staff wants their own guys and that QB is on a short lease and a tight rope if not released or traded.
Maye and Penix are probably going to fail.
Williams
Nix
McCarthy
Daniels
Probably succeed, but at different levels.
Rate of 1st round QB’s busting is around 50%.
Past years 2 out of 3 QB’s busted so for 4 succeed this year to equal the odds as per the law of averages makes sense and goes along with with the rough 50% average.
I agree. Maye by far has a greater chance than Penix,The reasons I'd say Maye is more likely to bust than Penix are supporting cast and OC. Agree with all of your points. The biggest obstacle penix faces is the number one curse of nearly all rookie QBs—the situation to which they get drafted.I think Penix will make it. He already does what an NFL QB needs to do from the pocket. He can move well and he has a great deep ball. Like most pocket passers, he will need good pass pro, but that is just how it is. His release may look ackword, but it is quick and gets the job done. I think he is top 3 of the class that came out.
I honestly wasn't aware of that. I just figured he fell because he was more of a slot WR than a WO.The really ironic part is that Rashee Rice absolutely had big character concerns.. welp.
