They were on the street at the same time. Do you even know they were together? At what point in that 10 second clip did you figure they had the time or wherewithall to form a pact of some sort? You simply shouldn't have to expect that kind of behavior.

Would they have been able to take him 2 on 1? Maybe. Certainly not if they are not the fighting type and this douche does this kind of shit quite often or has thought it through. I suspect he digs this kind of shit and they don't.

Would I have at least tried to make him pay? Certainly. Should they have fought back? Not if they felt they'd only pay more if they engaged someone clearly being a violent nut bag. In this case, two on one is anything but a big advantage. You have zero idea of what this douche is capable of if he's going to pull this shit to begin with. And what? While the other dude is scrambling for his life, you're going to jump some 250 lb dickhead with your 160lb frame? Fucking assanine.

Hell. I've been in lots of fights in my 62 years. I've had guys try to sucker punch me. But in those cases, there was a hint at least of what was coming. These guys had no clue at all. Nor should they have.

What you should wish would have happened is that someone else would have seen it and thumped the punk. Or maybe a few would have given him a little lesson.

These guys need to hand in their man card? I can almost guarantee you they conduct themselves on a daily basis more like real men than this douche.

Merlin, there's no excuse for what this guy did (his team won, and he was picking on fans of the team who lost, which, to me, makes it doubly more egregious), and the two guys he suckerpunched had no chance; why should they expect a suckerpunch from an opposing fan whose team won?

The guy on the left knew it was coming. And took evasive action when the first punch was thrown. The other guy seemed to just freeze and didn't know what to do. I think this was his first encounter with such aggressive behaviour coming towards him. I'm guessing next time he will be ducking.

They have video of two first degree assaults, and he apparently already has a rap sheet. He's going to prison, and he deserves to get his ass kicked there.

We are run by cowards who condition us to remove all risk and glorify weakness and vulnerability, which leads to a weak and ineffective society of cowards that will end up being destroyed by a stronger society. Groups, after all, fall under the same rules of the universe as individuals in natural selection.

I have a different way of seeing things I realize. So let's disagree and you can pat yourself on the back, shake your head at what a fuckhead I am, and most importantly save everyone all the sob stories that will follow the one you just offered up.

So now if I go out in "public" I should expect this? Fuck that. I go out in "public" more than almost anyone I know. I have been to hundreds of games - most of which have been in enemy territory with me wearing my gear. While I do have my head on a swivel in most situations, I would still be surprised by someone indiscriminately suddenly putting their foot in my chest.

I grew up in gang land USA for several years. I have walked through Watts with my Ducks gear on. I have walked through Oakland after several Rams and Dodgers games. I have walked through the back alleys behind the Bell district in Seattle wearing my Rams gear.

This could have happened to me for sure if some asshole outweighing me by a third decided to run up and kick me in the chest. And it would have happened to you too. I fucking guarantee it.

It's not about being an easy victim. You should NEVER have to expect that. And even if you did expect it, you wouldn't be ready for it in the situation portrayed in the video. The douche was running down the sidewalk and veered off at what he clearly saw as easy victims.

I don't think they even got hurt that bad - I'm guessing.

But do tell me. What do you envision they should have done? What in your head on a swivel scenario would you have done?

I've never been very big. No matter how hard I worked out, my body had its limits at 5"10 160 lbs. Because of that, I used to be the kid in college that the jocks or goons would walk toward on the sidewalk and be expected to move aside. For a few years, I did step aside. With the medical problems I had, I felt it was better to play it safe.

Then one night I just got sick of it. This meathead was walking with his girlfriend and was taking up too much of the sidewalk and I didn't move. We bumped shoulders as we passed and he turned and started talking shit and I stood my ground. He backed off. You could see the uncertainty on his face. After that I never stepped aside, and despite all of the threats I never got into a fight, they all walked away every single time.

Bullies look for easy targets. They don't like fair fights or the possibility that someone could present a challenge. That's what that guy is. He's a typical bully, preying on the weak. He likely never loses because he never gets into a fair fight. He just finds the guys that he knows he can beat, or that will run once they are hit. He deserves no respect and his small victims don't deserve to be ridiculed. Being a fighter, or being big doesn't equal being a man.
