Keep hearing its in the process of being finalized but no confirmation yet on Yates. I wonder if there was an issue with his physical?
My understanding is that the need to clear a spot on the 40 first.

I guess that would explain it. Everything I read is that its pretty much a done deal. Just not finalized yet. I suppose they'll figure it out. They sure have a lot of quality pitchers now. It does create a dilemma how to fit them in the roster.

Dodgers now have 3 of the best splitters in the league with Shohei, Yamamoto and Sasaki. And they all have plus fastballs. I'm hearing Shohei probably won't be on the mound till around June. They want to take it slow with him. No need to rush it. They have plenty of pitching until he's ready. Pretty sure Kershaw will sign back with them at some point. More arms to eat up innings.

I'm hearing they will go with a 6 man rotation with the idea of limiting their pitchers to 140 innings or less. A good idea considering all the injuries last year. If Kershaw signs and is ready to go that gives them plenty of starters. Snell, Glasnow, Shohei, Yamamoto, Sasaki, Gonsolin, May and Kershaw make for a lot of starters.

Gavin Stone was having a good year till he hurt his shoulder. He won't pitch this year. Not sure about Bobby Miller. He's got really good stuff but just can't figure out how to use it. Not sure if he will be on the opening day roster. With so many starters I doubt it.

Looks like Kike's coming back for another season. His batting average leaves something to be desired. But he does have a knack for coming up big in the postseason. Its like they're getting the band back together with a few upgrades.

He also has a knack for coming up clutch in the regular season too.

For those of us who can't wait for the season to start we get a little taste of it today. First spring league game against the Cubs. I rarely have interest in those games. But I want to see the new faces this year.

It's actually time for unknown Dodger pitchers to pitch.

Other than maybe Bobby Miller - I don't think they have pitched one pitcher that is going to make the club in the first 3 games.

I've been looking at the Dodger pitching stats and going .... who?

The only one I think I have heard of is Wobleski and he isn't going to make the club from what I have seen of him last year.

They're Dodgers and they're playing so yes it's time for Dodger baseball. Yamamoto started game one Gonsolin game 2 and every year a lot of minor leaguers fill innings in the early games. Think this year we'll see even more of that with the trip to Japan.

I didn't say it wasn't Dodger baseball. Just unknown Dodger pitchers baseball lol

10 11 12 runs given up is not a good start to spring training. I think this is the worst start of a Dodger spring training since I started watching in the early 70s.

But it's spring training so it doesn't matter. I just hope we don't have injuries like we did last year.

Did anyone catch Bobby Miller getting hit by the come back? I’m not finding it but my son was talking about it.
