If he could stay healthy they wouldn’t be trading him. I’ll double check but I think he was effective when he was able to play.

He wanted out of Detroit. I don’t know why, but if he didn’t like how much he was used, then he has to figure injuries play a factor in that. Maybe he didn’t like them drafting Williams.
Swift had:
15/144 yards versus the Eagles in week 1
14/62 yards vs the Bills
11/78 yards vs the Bears
In all other games he had single digit carries

He wasn't getting a 2nd contract and raise from Detroit. Most all RB's aren't worth the second contract just keep drafting RB's and cycling them.

When healthy Swift is a NFL caliber back, though.
He’s a young 24yrs with a 4.6ypc NFL-level average… That is nothing to sneeze at. Dude is a good player. Just needs to put it together for a full season.

He would have helped us yes. Thing with corners is if they're good at one thing you just gameplan him that way and adjust your coverages accordingly.
But I am hoping they're saving those pennies in the couch for a NT. Will feel a ton better about this defense if they add one.
