Fields still has a shot of succeeding; Chicago just needs to bolster him with actual O-linemen and weapons aside from Kmet and Mooney. Wouldn't be shocked to see Skoronski be Chicago's selection.
The Bears had the #14 Oline. People talk like it’s the worst in the league. Fields creates the same problem that all run heavy QBs create. The line has trouble blocking for the QB because he’s moving out of the pocket too much.

Fields is a better RB than a QB.

Brendan Donahue, the #1 most accurate mock drafter over the past five NFL seasons according to The Huddle Report, gives you his 2023 NFL Mock Draft — making predictions for every team and every pick in the first round.

For those that don't have the time to check the methodology, they took a bunch of mock drafters, gave them one point for correctly identifying a player as a first round pick and two points for correctly picking the team selecting the player, and then ranked the mockers.

The top scores from last year's draft correctly picked 10 of the 32 first round picks. Brendan Donahue was correct on 7 of the 32 first rounders last year. His 5 year average (based strictly on the math) seems to be about 8 correct picks and 28 correctly identified first rounders. I bet we have mockers on this board who feel they can do better in their sleep.

TLDR: "#1 most accurate mock drafter over the past five NFL seasons" looks sort of like the tallest dwarf.

After seeing that mock draft In guessing that the guy is a Shehawks fan.

This guy is supposedly the most accurate mock draft in the last five years. I would hate it if the Seahawks got out of round one with these two picks.

In this scenario: Kancey, McDonald, Torrance, Forbes, Gibbs, Cam Smith and Dewand Jones are all available at top of the 2nd.

I’m not crazy about all of them. I’d be happiest with Torrence but I don’t think the Rams would ever use a second round pick on a guard. Forbes or Smith would be nice.

I'll keep saying it, Burns is not elite. Yes, i know some of you don't like PFF, fact of the matter is, they watch every play of a player, something I can't and don't want to. He was 64.5 this year, which is a bit above average. Rumor was, Panthers wanted the trade offers to start at 2 1sts. To be honest, I'd be hesitant to give even our '24 for him. We could be talking about a top 5 pick. And he needs a new contract after this year which is not going to be cheap in the slightest. I'm all the way out on trading for Burns. Good not great doesn't warrant a very premium pick (or 2) and a massive 30+ million a year contract.

Even signing him as a FA, if it costs us 30+ per year, its not wise.
Many thanks to Carolina for saving Snead from himself. What a horrendous move that would've been.

Looks like trading down to get more 3rd and 4th round picks may be the strategy.

I recall reading that the reason they wanted Burns is that his average time to get to the QB is 1.5 seconds, which is the same time that the Rams opponents use to scheme around Donald. Burns may not be powerful but he’s fast.

I recall teams beating the Rams defense by running over left tackle, because aside from Von Miller. The Rams have not had good run defense from their edge players on that side. The Niners killed is running over OLT. So, maybe they did dodge a bullet by not acquiring Burns. Who knows.

My issue wasn't with Burns the player -- he's decent enough. My problem was their giving up two first round picks for him. Even one is too much, tbh. But two would've been incredibly stupid.

28 of 32 is a pretty solid average, getting them all lined up correctly is a tall task. As soon as 1 team deviates everyone else adjusts. You don’t get to the top of the draft by being exceptional at assessing prospect value so really the guy has done pretty well.
We should make this a bet in the sports book most pics to the right team wins and most first rounders correct is
the tie breaker.

This is kind of scary to see:
Zay Flowers

The article suggests Rams are in on Zay. No thank you to a trade up for him.

I think the Seahawks are gonna get Richardson. He's just too great a fit for them. Carroll doesn't mind a simplistic offense at first if necessary. They just paid dumbass a 3 year contract to hold it down. Richardson represents upside they could sorely need and would not be required to play right away. Redshirt him and let him cook on that bench year one.
While I agree with you on Caroll I think they take that edge from Tech Tyree Wilson. Seems like a Pete Carroll type of player, I’m sure he wants to recreate that pressure that they had in the LOB days, and people go back to things they know.

I truly hope you are right. Anyone but AR for the shehawks. AR would be coming into his prime after AD retires, which is a terrible thought. I'm going on the assumption that he turns into a legit NFL QB.

I’d rather a difference maker or two or three. It’s not like every pick is going to hit. At Snead’s recent record is an indicator, then he’s likely to get 1/6.
Hitting on the picks is the key, no matter what, right?
I like having the numbers in my favor with as many top 150 picks as possible.

Obviously, I'm hoping for more Cooper Kupp and fewer Terrell Burgesses.

Fields is a better RB than a QB.
And the year before the Bears had the #22 ranked O-line. So by means has it been stellar, their O-Line has been average at best and that is when they weren’t plagued by injuries.

Fields isn’t a in only his second year finished with a 59.7 comp%. His college career he was a 68.4% so I fully expect him to have an amazing breakout year this year with better protection and weapons that actually separate.

I look forward to us giving each other shit this year depending how it goes! Lol

Idk if they have the staff there to properly coach him up tbh. Carroll isn’t an offensive coach and that raw raw only works to a certain degree. I think he knows that too, AR needs an offensive guru to unlock that potential, he’s raw asf, limited games, reps, and not a good td/int. But just like you said, if someone unlocks him watch out.

That list from Schrags had one guy that surprised me in Stevenson.
