Looks like team drills are on the same field as Monday. Got our ADA seats waiting for practice to start. Powell, Landen Akers and Yeast fielding punts from juggs machine. Benny Sko playing catch with a coach that looks similar to McVay. Fooled til he got a little closer lol

What did they expect the guy to do in a sport that requires aggression? Hopefully they groom him to be a full blown puss so AD can further beat him and the Saints down to a pulp if we play them lol
Fights are dumb.
Fights with your own teammates are even dumber.
The risk of causing an injury is way more important than any old-school notion of "staying aggressive."

This is our weakest issue by a far margin as far as I can determine.

I am not very hopeful that McVay can come close to fielding an "Effective Running Game" this season. I also will be keeping an eye on that left side of the OL on run downs too.
Yeah. Our run blocking in the SB put it all on Staff's shoulders. I was hoping not to see that anymore.

Fights happen all the time in football between all teammates. Shit, Ramsey smacked Rapp in a game. It's in the nature of the game. This fight was rather mild considering how often it happen Plus these dudes had the head pads on so risk of injury was rather small. Most players would react that way in that situation.

I think Dennis Allen needs to be careful. Might have people start thinking the defense is favored by the head coach.
The first one looked like a bit of a hold with Penning grabbing the defender by the back of the jersey. Defender got frustrated. The other two are on the defense for losing the one on one.

Trevor Penning's reputation and scouting report mentioned that he could play out-of-control, and picked-up some bad unsportsmanlike penalties. Mentioned on Draft-night when he was selected in the first round. Nastiness is a plus for an OL but they need to play under control.

Penning was projected as an NFL RT but the Saints want him to play LT after losing Armstead in free agency.

I could see that for one or two fights, but Penning started three fights. I don't think Dennis Allen is a good head coach at all, and I hope he fails miserably, but I agree with kicking Penning out; if he can't keep his cool, he needs to sit at home until he can.

That honestly didn't look like he started that fight on that one so not so sure about that, but I'm also not saying, hey don't kick the guy out if he's acting like a butthead and starting crap on multiple occasions. Let's just say, I get the reaction from the player based on the sport he plays. It literally happens multiple times in the sport and is inevitable. He's a young buck trying to prove he belongs. I'm hoping the Saints are dumb enough to tame his aggressiveness (instead of coaching him to have a more controlled version of it) so if we play them, manhandle that line.

Sure.

They’re still stupid.

I was thinking 2nd might be too high, but it’s tempting. 3rd round would a steal.
I averaged out OBJ’s late season targets and figure ARob is a prime red zone target on top of that to make my decision.
He’s put up WR1 numbers before and I think he’s ready to do it again.
Either way, I’m drafting a Ram lol.
