5thBy letting Miller go won’t Rams qualify potentially for a 3rd round comp pick?
I thought it was based on $$$.

Googled:
If a player signs with another team for a high-end value (say $20 million annually) and the team that lost said player did not add the same amount of equal-level free agents, it would then likely receive the highest possible compensatory selection (third round).
But Von is a 10 year vet that compensation for comp picks is capped at a 5th round. The highest we could get for him is a 5th.I thought it was based on $$$.

From what I understand, Wes Phillips will be his TE coach in Minnesota and they offered a multi-year deal and the Rams didn't.Ouch. The Rams supposedly wanted him back. Maybe they decided that he has to be a cap caualty.
Okay... Bills really messed up my take. Oh well.
I'm realizing reading Jourdain and others that it's HIGHLY unlikely we get Wagner.
If anything, we like E Jones and Travin Howard and will probably focus on replacing DWill.
Wouldn't surprise me if Fowler returns on the cheap, but I think this year we're not making huge FA signings like in year's past...
That could change if we somehow get Gilmore...
