The steps this board goes to call somebody a fullback. Seems a guy who in five years of college football never once ran the football is a fullback. He did however return one kick for five yards so it seems we have our kick returner :D

He's not being hired to run the ball, he's a blocking specialist with some receiving skills who can line up in multiple formations.

Yes a tight end we have multiple people that do that on the roster every year. Unlike this mythical unicorn a McVay fullback.

Kyren screams depth guy to me.
Why? Because his biggest strength is pass protection. When you have injury concerns with your main guys, and the Rams do, you want your depth to not get your QB killed.
Kyren might carve out a role on third downs because of how good he is in the passing game. He also was a solid punt returner in college.

Yup.
Like Gay - TB dumped him and we brought him in off the street. How’s that look now.

Plus, it’s punting- just don’t get the kicked blocked. That’s all I’m looking for now from a Ram punter
Dixon came from the Giants.

Started-out with Denver and DeCamillis was his coach as a rookie.

Carter is listed as a FB in the release on NFL.com. He may have started out as a TE but he's obviously changed positions since he was primarily a blocking TE. He decided his ability to get signed as a FB was better than as a TE.

The #Rams are signing Georgia State FB Roger Carter, per source. That's a Sean McVay and Les Snead player if I've ever seen one! #NFLDraft @TheDraftNetwork

The bottom line is someone finally broke down the plays and saw what I saw. If they want to continue to play without a FB then they need to simply switch to a man gap blocking scheme. This all I've been saying for almost 2 years. Hopefully, they will experiment during OTAs and decide then. But a single player who can also contribute on STs is hardly a burden.
