Ouch, the initial numbers for Floyd are.... not good. That puts him as being paid like a Pro Bowl edge. He was not a pro bowl caliber player last year and honestly, didn't produce at all without Donald next to him. I was willing and prepared for someone else to pay him and reap the 3rd round comp rewards. We signed him for a lot and lost a comp pick in the process. Hopefully the contract is structured very favorably for us...

Floyds contract is probably back heavy and not as big as originally reported. I love having him back!

Well that's not really fair either. Nobody would be the same on the defense without AD even Jalen would take a step down. However if AD goes down of course Floyd suffers because who else is going to rush. That's why I hope they are not done yet and as another legit pass rusher preferably a Clowney type. That helps. I'd also still wait on the details of the contract before picking it apart. If it's straight up it's an over pay but Floyd does a lot more than rush the passer.

This is exactly how I feel. Especially when Ngakoue signed for $13M per year and is 25 years old and there are still very, very good edge options still out there in FA.

Lets hope so but you honestly have no idea. Given all the bad contracts recently given out I sure hope we learned our lesson and structured this well.

Seems like Demoff favors early hits on his FAs but yeah that is possible with all the money they've been throwing around. Or maybe my memory is off idk. Contract shit I admit I kinda don't give too many fucks about.
