I wonder how much they would give up? 3 first and 2nd rounders is crazy high.
Yeah it's gotta be impossible to negotiate these picks plus you have to put qualifiers in for how much he plays or if he even plays.

I’m just glad that the 9ers lost out on both Stafford and Watson.

Funny, a month or two ago I would have figured his only trade destination would have been the Mean Machine.....

Miami is a really nice landing spot for Watson. They would need to be taken seriously with a real QB.

Yeah I always figured he'd land in Miami or Denver and either place he'd make instant super bowl favorites in the AFC with the defenses they have. Barring he can play and not suspended.

I’d give that for Watson. Any QB of that caliber is worth it. Teams can go 20-30 years without getting a QB that good, and waste a lot of first rounders trying to find one. A team with a good roster like Miami could be a division favorite and playoff contender for a decade or more with Watson.

But with those allegations? Also that’ll never fly in LA with the perfect people that live on that coast.

Guess it depends where they send him. I have a hard time thinking Miami having Tua would trade all that for him. Maybe Tua would let up for one of the first rounders they are asking? It’s going to be interesting to see what happens!

That's why they are negotiating a guarantee for certain picks to be returned if Watson is charged, suspended or goes to jail.

If a good player comes to town and puts your team on top, people's memories get very short. The NFL has had its share of players that ethically should not have been given a chance, yet they continue to get them. Even the Rams had one in Leonard Little. Heck Ray Lewis shot someone. If Watson is not formally charged and taken to court at most he will get a slap on the wrist by the league. Stars like him draw fans, viewers and sell merchandise. Its all about the money.

Remember Roethlisberger's suspension after being accused of rape? You're exactly right. That's why I said a couple years ago when the Chiefs released Kareem Hunt that we should have claimed him, taken the PR hit, waited out his suspension, and then counted on people not to care after a brief period of time. What do you know? Nobody cares anymore about Hunt.

A 6th round this year and a 4th round pick next year is looking like a cheap price to pay for a starting quality RB. Sony isn't elite but he's damn good and the kind of chain mover every team needs. He's a complete RB as he can catch and pass protect as a 3rd down back.

When you look at the Ram's roster and their cap situation you can see pretty good cap management while they have built this roster up without a bunch of 1st round picks which are like playing the lottery. Next year their dead cap will drop about $36.6 M as Gurley, Goff and Brockers will be off of it. Havenstein and Whitworth will clear another $8 or $9M. It may seem like a lot but extending Stafford will probably take almost half of it. That's where they will get the money to extend players including Stafford and the OL along with the other priority FAs like Michel and some of the defensive guys.

That is why I see their SB window as being at least 4 if not 5 years. The media so-called pundits are talking all or nothing this year. What garbage, do they even look at the roster and the contracts?

I for one can't argue with Snead's approach. For all appearances, it looks like it works.

True, but you also got to consider the geographic area and their overall viewpoints because if it’s all about the money and fans stop showing up, supporting the team, and not buying merchandise that’ll put a franchise.

Same with Tyreke Hill. He tried to kill his girlfriends baby. How should he be accepted by fans? They love him.

I disagree. Football fans are football fans no matter which city or region you are in. It’s the same with all sports. Soccer fans around the world are even worse. Just win baby!

I was not happy about what Little had done but I still rooted for him, because he was on my team. I don’t know if I’d like him as a person but being a fan you can be somewhat detached from that unless a player is a blowhard like T.O.

As a Yankee fan I never got used to ARod or Clemens coming to my team. But I had no trouble rooting for them when the Yankees were playing. I would have rooted for Brady if the Rams had traded for him. The team trumps the players.
