I’m not advocating that this would be possible or even worth it because depth is everything for a team with super bowl hopes. But for the sake of those people who like throwing around crazy trade ideas here is one I just saw. No idea what this site is, just saw it randomly on google.

If you don’t want to o make the playoffs. But future would be brighter

No, but if Reynolds is the fourth option, Goff may be affected by pressure at that point or Reynolds is covered and Goff has to throw it away in Reynolds’ direction. All the WRs were covered, but the last option takes the hit for the throw away pass. That’s just one scenario
So in general, all statistics need contexts, which means every play that he was targeted would have to be viewed to know the context of each target. So we don't or can't do that and it becomes an eyeball test and that leaves it to the eye of the beholder.
I like him, he makes some clutch catches, but I believe he is not worth spending much money on. In fact the possibility of finding someone better is a big factor.

I’m a huge Van Jefferson fan. That said, I was just putting my two cents in about how some stats need more context than others.

E.g. for RBs, yards after contact is an excellent stat generally doing a good job of determining how well a player creates yards beyond the blocking provided by his teammates.

I think the targets are problematic for a number of reasons and that stat requires much more context and/or further explication via additional data.

Rams need to get help at DL, EDGE or LB.

Go get Julio, I don't care if 50% of the teams payroll would go to the WR room. Without a big game breaking WR this offense is stuck in neutral against good teams.

I think that we have some marketable pieces - Reynolds and Everett could be players of interest for receiver hungry teams. We have replacements waiting in the wings for both of them so we should be on the phones today seeing what we can get.

What do you figure we have to give a team to take them? 4th rounder?

Best to get them in the 2021 draft. No need to mortgage anymore the future for any attempt to plug several holes this season when we are a 9-7 team while playing the NFC West.

I am in yard sale mode here at midpoint of this season & it was my call I going to make every attempt to get additional 2021 draft selections by trading off TE Everett/ WR Reynolds/ OC Brian Allen/ OT Bobby Evans.

Niners getting weaker on defense, nice.

He’s over rated, didn’t like the signing especially for the money and this is kind of telling. They’re missing a lot due to injuries and still traded him.

Titans traded for Desmond King.

Solid move.
