Interesting to see how Allen does... when he's not laying on his back.

The Cincinnati Bengals lost rookie quarterback Joe Burrow to a severe knee injury a week ago and it was Ryan Finley who initially stepped in to replace him. However, that’s not who the New York Giants will see under center in Week 12.

Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports that the Bengals have decided to start the 28-yer-old Brandon Allen, who was signed off the practice squad on Tuesday, instead.

Allen, a 2016 fourth-round pick of the Jacksonville Jaguars, has appeared in just three career games, completing 46.4% of his passes for 515 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Each of those starts came in 2019 as a member of the Denver Broncos when Drew Lock was on injured reserve. The team went 1-2 over that span.

The Giants will have an inside scouting report on Allen thanks to Bret Bielema, who was the quarterback’s head coach at Arkansas from 2013-2016.

Floyd is much better than Fowler anyway, a physical force on the edge and a better rusher.
Not only that LF is always where he is supposed to be. He is far more consistent & much smarter in the way he plays. Floyd can also play any of the inside LB'er posts at any time. Which may be needed this week with the knee injury to our MLB'er Kiser.

Bottom Line: LF is the type of super versatile LB'er that Staley will be looking for in future drafts. I look @ Terrell Lewis as more of a replacement of Fowler than Floyd.

Ouch! I don't even remember him getting hurt. Hope he's able to recover.
I saw the play & recall that very massive Gingerlonghaired Viking-looking OL'er was moved back to the center & a very inexperienced OG was inserted. The new OG did not hold up.

You can NEVER have too many good offensive OL'ers stashed on your NFL roster.

The Los Angeles Rams will be without rookie pass rusher Terrell Lewis on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers. After initially being listed as doubtful on Friday, the Rams downgraded him to out on Saturday.

Lewis experienced some swelling in his knee this week, which needed to be drained. It’s the same knee that he had surgery on in college and required a scope on after the team suspected he might have an infection from a previous procedure.

Also, the Rams have downgraded OLB Terrell Lewis (knee) from doubtful to OUT for Sunday's game vs. 49ers.

Sean McVay said he doesn’t know the extent of the issue for Lewis or how long he’ll be out, though it’s certainly concerning that his durability has already become a concern this early.

Lewis began the year on the reserve/non-football injury list with a knee issue and has since been part of the outside linebacker rotation with Justin Hollins, Samson Ebukam and Jachai Polite.
Expect all three of those players to get more reps in Lewis’ absence on Sunday.

So we will see Polite next week? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

 From the link. Hey, thats pretty good value for disruptive.

“Clowney was paid $13 million for eight games and no sacks, though he was disruptive when he was on the field”
I was so against signing him but there were people insisting around here he'd be great for us. Guy's made a living off one play in college, he's got amazing physical abilities but he's never translated that onto the field other than being decent against the run.

What was his original asking price? $20M?

Now, where is his value? But, for the Titans, at least he was distributive when on the field. :D
