Sadly, the egg was laid today. I said this in chat, ”Wade Phillips was back coaching the defense today”.

They have a real RB in Akers. Jefferson looked ok.
No Kupp was noticeable.
OL didn’t have the game they needed to have for x win.
Staley obviously couldn’t solve the 3 Gap run play. They rarely pulled a guard, just straight up assignment blocking.
‘No deep threat is killing this offense.

The Reynolds incompletion @ 11:03 was the one that hurt. We're down a TD and driving and then ....... that one play we see almost every game w/ Reynolds. Next play a 6 yd sack. That was as close as we got. He makes that play it's a 2nd and 4.

yep, the offense was in a groove and he put them back behind the 8 ball.

I repeat it was Aaron Rodgers we didn't have Aaron DONALD. FML. I'm gonna pull another 10 tonight.

Proud of Goff, Akers in this game. Woods and the rest of the receivers good too. Where were our TEs?
Good season, disappointing end.
Can't understand how the number 1 D completely forgets how to tackle in one week though.

This just sucks! Only one season in 44 yrs of watching the Rams has the season ended with a win. It's just not fair!
Aw, c’mon, Karate! The Rams have ended their season with a win LOTS of times!

Take 1997 for example... Tony Banks led the Rams to victory over the Panthers to finish off a 5-11 season! Good ol’ Pretty Tony... you could always count on him to play his best after the Rams were eliminated!

Sigh. Just letting off steam. Cheers

The TEs more often than not have to stay at home and help to block .. higher kills teams on the seam
Routes he runs but he can never do them because our five o line can’t block four guys

Make no mistake... Goff wasn’t the problem today but he’s most likely gone as soon as we can dump him. I want him to be better but the life we randomly got from Wolford starting almost felt like the nail.

You’re never going to have a perfect or above average oline. You have to make due. We had the best D and the o couldn’t pick it up when we needed it the most. O starts with QB and Goffs contract is a black hole preventing us from getting better. If he was making less I’d be more on the O line than him but hiscontract parents spending elsewhere. I know moving on isn’t necessarily an improvement but doing the same thing over and over and all that.

Having a mobile QB is no guarantee of avoiding pressure. And they often have less longevity. It's a waste of resources to retool the offense around a new QB.

We cant vent. All things point to GB in the super bowl.

Thier offense neuturalizing our defense was a bit of a suprise.

Hats off to them. I have Zero problems with our team.

Big ups to Jared Goff. I thought he had a good game.

Tony Banks. Didn't he set a record for fumbles lost by a QB? Despised that guy...

For that matter, pretty sure he's one of the only QBs I've ever seen fumble while running for no apparent reason with that stupid two-hand thing he used to do.

What a chump.

Despite the number #1 ranking I never thought the Rams defense was very good. After today who can say otherwise?
No pass rush and steamrolled against the run. I don't care GB had the #1 offense. The defense did NOTHING.

McVay is a great coach. This is a 9-7 talent team team. Mediocre offensive line and an average defense.
but we have a great D coach.... right

Reynolds made some clean catches at the start but that still doesn't excuse him from dropping that one when we needed it.

And now we see what our defense looks like without a healthy Donald wrecking havoc. I mentioned this was my biggest concern right after the Seattle game and it sure was despite McVay denying everything.

Honestly the only thing I can vent about today is that the defense did little to nothing this game. Not only that but did we blitz on a single play today? I didn't see one instance where we brought the pressure. Staley got outcoached today by LaFleur's offense - one that he should be very familiar with since it's a lot like ours!

Besides that I think the game was fairly competitive and Playoff Goff showed up. He should look into keeping that glove on for good. He was making good, tight spiral throws with zip on them.
