If it wasn’t for our D we wouldn’t have been this far in. Just stop.
This is a vent thread FOR THIS GAME and the defense was a dud. You can disagree with my take but arguing in a vent thread is stupid. If you don't want to hear people venting then this obviously isn't the thread to be in.

After letting the game simmer a bit and reading about all the comments on Defense being bad you realize there are other football Titans in today’s game than Donald or Ramsey.

Rodgers is an all time great at the most important position. This wasn’t Russell Wilson we were facing tonight, it was Aaron freaking Rodgers.

Today was his and I sense he knows he’s coming to an end soon and might not have a chance again to get to this level at his age.

Proud of our team, coaching, and organization as a whole in regard to nobody thought we’d be here.

Next year I really hope we get the interior O Line overhauled and maybe take a shot at a guy like Deshaun Watson or a similar QB in the draft with abilities McVay seems to favor. Going to be interesting.

Well, it being in green bay meant nothing. There's no such thing as home field advantage this year, and the metrics have shown that.

But, flat out, they're just a better team and a far better run organization top to bottom with the possible exception of a couple of coaches. No shame in losing to them.
Bullshit it meant nothing. Traveling cross country from LA weather to snow and mid 30 degrees is a thing. Also were 9k fans and they were pretty damn loud

Nobody in their right mind would say otherwise. Doesn't mean that was a good performance from them today, a large part of which is due to AD not being healthy.

Make no mistake... Goff wasn’t the problem today but he’s most likely gone as soon as we can dump him. I want him to be better but the life we randomly got from Wolford starting almost felt like the nail.

You’re never going to have a perfect or above average oline. You have to make due. We had the best D and the o couldn’t pick it up when we needed it the most. O starts with QB and Goffs contract is a black hole preventing us from getting better. If he was making less I’d be more on the O line than him but hiscontract parents spending elsewhere. I know moving on isn’t necessarily an improvement but doing the same thing over and over and all that.
It's a lot easier and cost effective to fix the O-line than replace a QB. The Rams just need to put OL on their priority list and get it done. Goff is very capable of taking us to the promised land if we give him a good line to play behind. Imagine how good Akers will be next year, especially with a better line. Coming up with a good deep threat wouldn't hurt either.

And how much time did they spend on the sideline because the D couldn't get off the field.

I know, you're pissed. You want to blame the O, want to blame Goff. But our D lost this one. Still think they are good, they just had a bad game, they failed to execute in basic things like tackling against a great offense.
Seriously.
I love the D but they were awful at times. Was crushing that the offense puts on a great drive to close the 1st half and Green Bay drives the length of the field in 30 seconds to tag on some points.

Are we venting about the Seahawks game or the game that the team just played against the Packers?

uhhhh wait a minute.

Apparently it was our entire D faults why we lost. Per some posters.

Yet they are forgetting our D was stout against the Seahawks to get us to this point.

Having a mobile QB is no guarantee of avoiding pressure. And they often have less longevity. It's a waste of resources to retool the offense around a new QB.

It’s not a guarantee. Nothing is...We’ve seen what we have in Goff. Are we going to just hope the other teams suck more than we do?

I dislike mobile QBs for that exact aspect of what you said but they are a quick fix if you are missing at a key specific O places. The online is a crap shoot and no way you can expect a team to just get a group to do well. QB on the other hand is a bit more obvious.

I Mentioned on game thread about Rodgers taking a step in any direction to avoid the rush and buy time trusting his offensive line and he showed that and dissected us.

That said depends like Watson with this line would be a fit (still need a new center) but he would work. If we stay with Goff then we need to invest in the line more.

The lines problem is not the initial block they are good at that but they have huge issues holding a block....and other lines like green bay can hold the blocks to let Rodgers step wherever to make a play.
So coach and front office need to figure it out. Which direction to go either put money into the line or find another qb.

Goff to me again was gutsy and excellent today the finger the gloves the cold he showed balls. So this post is not about Goff it's more about the approach.

Sorry, but I think that the dumping Goff thing is pure fan fantasy. Also, this may be good that the defense played poorly as we may get another year out of Staley and that means that we will get better next year if we can just improve the O line and figure a way to keep most of our best starters.

I see nothing in your quotes there to indicate that and you didn't answer my comment. Rodgers his line and his skill positions beat our defense pretty easily today. Some asshole having no tact in pointing that out doesn't change the fact that the Defense was not good today. It's not the first time it won't be the last time they get beat and the offense gets it as well.
