Im still trying to wrap my head around this.

In 2017 and 18 gurley is the best back in football. In 2019 mcvay manages his touches horribly while saying his knee is fine. Now they want to trade him leaving brown and Henderson and the only reason silver gives is money? Thats some serious bullshit.

Theres either a medical issue we're not aware of or the rams are out of their damn minds.

He looked a little hobbled last year. And the Rams have looked at running backs in the draft. And they really do like Henderson, who would've gotten more touches if not for an ankle injury.

Or maybe Mike Silver is exaggerating. I don’t think Adam Schefter or Ian Rappoport have said anything about this.

With how Gurley ended the '18 season, and his production in '19, do you really think his knee is fine? Do you think it would've been better for McVay to come out and say "Yea his knee has arthritis and we're going to have to manage it?" How would that have benefited the franchise? That would kill whatever confidence Todd has, while hurting his potential trade value, all while making us look like fools for paying him that big contract. Easy to call it a bad contract in hindsight, but Todd carried us on his back for 2 years, and got us to the SB. He deserved his money and I think its just back luck with the timing of his knee deteriorating. You know the expression "where there's smoke there's fire." With allllllll the talk about his knee, the original leak apparently came from one of his trainers and hard not to believe it at this point.

At this point the cost/benefit for him and Cooks' contracts will make or break this roster IMO. Dont see how we build a good enough team to contend for a SB with their contracts + anticipated production.

I have often said something with Gurley and Mcvey was off since his original injury, it went really downhill during the saints game. Timeline of oevents Gurley ran over the Cowboys along with C.J. then got off to an awful start against the saints and it became more of a committee situation the superbowl and so on carrying into next year. So what was once Gurley' s team seemed to be shifting he was splitting carries not to mention Sean also became pass happy. In any event watching every minute of every game if we start from the saints game through this season it just always looked like Gurley had a piss poor attitude seemed always annoyed and coach always did his poker face its on me all is good with Todd I'm not using him etc.

I'm not saying he isn't injured but it might be more about his attitude than his actual skill. Let's face it Gurley at 80% is better than most backs in the league. My opinion is there is more to this and it's more of a rift
between Gurley and coach going back to that saints game. It was all good when both he and cj had a big game against Dallas but from there on things changed. Not only has Gurley always been sensitive but I think if you factor in that he got his feelings hurt, probably has an opinion that coach passes to much, then possibly add in he he felt disrespected and angry that the Rams led people to believe that his injury was the sole reason he wasn't being used or wasn't the same player. It seemed to eat away at him every time the media asked like he had more to say but couldn't.

Could just be a conspiracy theory but it does make sense. If he goes to another team lets see what happens I have a feeling he will be just fine and things might come out then. He still may not speak but he will definitely say something sarcastic.

The other thing is you know the Rams checked him out head to toe before handing him that contract. There has to be more here.

Or his knees could just really be shot!!!! Lol

But that's the thing though if his knees are so shot how would he get traded and pass a physical especially with that contract.

Falcons Bucs and Redskins all mentioned in Gurley rumors.
Would Gurley for Trent Williams be a good fit both could be great both could be on IR. Both fit a need. And for us we would only have to deal with Williams for one season unless he turns in a good one but that gives the redskins a starting runningback gives us an o-line anchor.

Redskins want a 2nd rounder for Williams and Williams wants 20 million a year on a new contract. Hard pass on him personally.
