Great Pick Corbin! I had him down as a "DE". He had 48.5 Solo Tackles! Really nice prospect!Miami selects
Ja'Von Rolland-Jones, OLB, Arkansas State
Rolland-Jones was a star the moment he stepped on the field at Arkansas State. As a freshman in 2014, he recorded 7.5 sacks and 12.0 tackles for loss. After two years totaling 21.5 sacks and 32 tackles for loss, the star edge-rusher had 13 sacks and 19 tackles for loss in his final collegiate season. Talk about production. On film, Rolland-Jones is a rangy but polished pass-rush technician who almost always initiates contact and knows how to counter en route to the quarterback. And he's clearly an effective finisher. He's not the bendiest around the edge but uses his length -- 33-inch arms -- very well and plays with a high motor.

On the Beat: Former Alabama DB Tony Brown excels during NFL combine workouts
Tony Brown (2) had a strong showing at the NFL combine, and that could mean good things for his future in the NFL.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — It’s hard to argue that any former Alabama football player helped themselves at the NFL combine more than defensive back Tony Brown.
Guys such as Minkah Fitzpatrick, Calvin Ridley and Da’Ron Payne helped cement themselves as first-round picks, but Brown did enough to catch the eye of scouts, teams and analysts.
NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks listed Brown as one of his “winners” from the combine at the defensive back position.
“The former high school track standout and five-star recruit showcased his exceptional athleticism in a workout that included a blistering 4.35-second 40-yard dash. Brown not only lit up the track with his straight-line speed, but he showed better-than-anticipated footwork and movement skills in positional drills. As one of the most explosive athletes in this CB class, Brown has a chance to come off the board on Day 2 as a special teams demon/developmental prospect with an intriguing set of physical tools.”
If Brown is able to stay focused, he can thrive in the NFL in the right system. He’ll have an opportunity to have a 10-year career as a gunner on special teams, but if he can develop at defensive back, Brown could become a fine player.
Brown’s collegiate career didn’t pan out how many had hoped when he arrived as a 5-star defensive back, but he showed flashes at different points. Brown made the biggest play of his career with an interception against Georgia in the National Championship Game.
Given his back story and how hard he works, Brown is an easy guy to root for. For Alabama’s pro day on Wednesday, Brown is expected to participate in interviews but likely won’t do any on-field work since the combine just took place.
Brown has the type of personality that would win over coaches and NFL personnel during 1-on-1 time.
