You bastards. Needed a LB or CB but you have snapped up my dudes for this range and left me needing to take a non-need BPA: Armani Watts, S, Texas A&M.

Ward was a Great Pick, SPARQ scores aren't the end-all, be-all. But they are a good indicator, and come in handy in the 4th-5th-6th and 7th rounds! As a rule, IF the players SPARQ score isn't " 100 or above" they will take some work to become an NFL quality player!! I think Ward is an exception!! JMHO
SPARQ highly rate players have an amazing rate of failure in the NFL.

With the 110th pick of the 2018 Draft the Raiders select Kalen Ballage, RB, Arizona State. With Beast Mode being Beast Mode and 31, and Doug Martin being benched the last 2 games and 29, the Ray-duhhhzzz need a successor to Beast Mode.

Kalen is a power running back who will run over and through tacklers. A guy not afraid of contact:

Smaller S who likes to hit people and has some pretty good ball skills.

Yeah he's the kind of player who if he gets drafted by a good defensive staff might really make a big jump and be an impact addition for some lucky team in that round 3 range. Has some wtf plays in coverage but honestly I prefer the safeties who are feisty and play with some swag.

You don't know how Lucky you are T-REX!! I Tossed a coin in my #108 pick and went DE instead of Kiser at ILB!!
Great Pick! He's a "Thumper!" and has a High SPARQ score too, 126.2!

I see that in 1st and 2nd round picks. But not so much in mid and Later round picks! Cooper Kupp for a more recent example!
I saw an article that went into a lot of depth about them. Top 50 sparq guys rarely make an NFL team year 2. The next 50 has a much better success rate, but by then you're getting into guys that are top 3 round picks. For example last years top 10 SPARQ QB's.

upload_2018-4-11_13-27-13.png

I could be mistaken but only Dobbs actually made a team. Running back's not much better.

upload_2018-4-11_13-27-58.png

Obvious 1st round pick McCaffery, Kamara of course who surprisingly fell in the draft and Breida who did decent for the Whiners. WR again just not that good. You mention Kupp he was 87th on the WR list.

upload_2018-4-11_13-29-42.png

SPARQ has a lot of work to do before it's taken seriously IMO.

And there goes another one. Great pick. He got absolutely no help from his line or play callers in college. I can see him lighting it up next year.

My board has a massive reset coming after @DaveFan'51 's pick, Ballage AND Kiser coming off the board.. Not what I wanted to wake up to!! :)

Well all I know is that Snead has been quoted for years as saying he likes to use them in Player evaluation. specifically looking at Long & Short shuttle scores and the 3-cone Drill scores! And he said he used them a lot in the selection process in 2017 Draft! Which by all accounts was a XLNT Draft by the Rams!
