It's mind numbing to see 15+ years of the Rams football all end the same. Fans talk and push and push.........they try so hard to make the Rams better and I wish the team would reward them because they deserve it.

But the only current fact is that they suck and have sucked for 15 years. I am at my usual place with the football season with the Rams = not watching any football, avoiding NFL Network, looking at College players coming up and hoping the team fires the coach and staff.......................15 years of this

Yeah - no matter how promising the draft, preseason, even September sometimes - by the time October is done it is depression city with these guys. Don't we have the same talent we started the year with?

Well, it is almost time for the December tease...

It's hard to even know anymore where to point the finger. How can an organization miss so consistently on coaching hires? Is it possible that the team shouldn't look for an "offensive-minded" or "defensive-minded" head coach, but a "managerial" head coach? I coach that oversees the overall team, but allows his coordinators to do what they do. Dick Vermeil didn't stick his nose in Mike Martz's offense, because he knew it was Mike's to run. "Don't tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results." - George S. Patton

Not trying to be a d*ck, but why do you think fans "Deserve" it? Also, how can fans make the team better? I get you're frustrated, as am I, about the continued lack of success, and it seemingly won't get better anytime soon. However, we don't deserve anything from this team, or any other team for that matter. We as fans are passionate about our team, through both good times and bad. Yes, it's been bad for quite some time but we can't do anything to make it better. It's out of our collective hands. I mentioned this elsewhere, fans can stop showing up for games, buying merchandise, etc. but it won't change much of anything with this team. You either take only the good (Bandwagon Fan) or take it all (True Fan.) I get what you saying but we just need to ride the storm, even though it's been a pretty crappy storm for quite awhile. I hope, as a fan of over 48 years, we will see some positive changes and ultimately many years of success. Look at what Chicago Cubs fans have had to endure. (y)

Fans who attend the games, buy the products, and sit through the endless march of commercials deserve better for their entertainment dollar, and loyalty.

Again, I'll disagree with using the term "Deserve." We don't deserve anything. It's like anything you purchase... Buyer Beware. If you buy a beer at the game, do you think you "Deserve" a 6-pack of beer when you pay $8.00 for a single beer? Again, I get the frustration felt, and if you've had enough you can stop buying the merchandise, going to games, watching on TV, etc., and spend your hard earned dollars on something else. You do have that choice.

15 years is forever in the NFL. Players, coaches, management all changed many times over.
So it gets down to the root cause. Ownership.
Ownership has to hire the right person to hire the right people to draft, sign, coach the players to win.
It's why franchises are historically bad for decades.
It's harder than you think to get it right.

Well I have been a fan for over 40 years with a closet full of Rams gear.

What I see is a team that sucks and an owner chasing a buck. GF chased the cash and so is DELETED

The Rams can make a serious effort to build a winner or I'll spend my time doing other stuff for the winter. If that makes me a bandwagon fan after 40 plus years then so be it.

as males it is almost a requirement to support an NFL team..all NFL teams go thru peaks and valleys of success..the one we latched on to just happens to be in the Mariana trench right now and we can't do a damn thing about it.

It's easy to sit here as keyboard GMs and say they should do this or they should do that but in the end 75% of us will continue to watch, eager with anticipation that this year, or next year will be "THE YEAR", and that year will come eventually.

We all thought this was the year when they were 3-1 with 4 winnable games coming up . How they are 3-5 now is truly mind numbing.

No, but I guarantee you, that for any amount of money, I DESERVE a beer that isn't flat!

First of all, the Rams were in the playoffs 12 years ago. In fact they won a wild card game that year. In 2003 they went 12-4 and lost a heart breaking playoff game. They did not suck those years. Yes, they have been a bad team for 10 years. Depending on how long you have been a fan, they were even worse in the 90's. If they hadn't had the miracle season of 1999, they would have been the worst team of that decade.

My point is, yes, it hurts being a Rams fan. I have seen more bad than good over the course of my 38 years watching this team. You deal with the losses and try to get excited about the next game. Can't change anything anyhow. No sense in stressing it. The more threads I see like this, the more I wonder if maybe @-X- picked the right time to take a break from the boards for a while....

been a Rams fan for 49 years. I watch every game and never turn it off until its over doesn't matter what the score is. at the end of the day weather they win or lose it doesn't change my life. its a game I don't understand why people get so pissed off and act like the world is going to end. relax and enjoy life its to short to be pissed off about a game
