The decline of Colin Kaepernick

Haha the usual building up of the past into more than it was to try to feel better about the awful current state of the Whiners. It is very revealing that in this writer's little media world "everyone" was convinced he was the anointed greatest ever (isn't every Whiner QB according to every writer?). Meanwhile every real football fan I know saw through what was happening at the time for pure Jeremy Lin type of bullshit that wouldn't last, and only lasted for so long thanks to typical Whiner luck. That reckless QB style should have been coughing up 3 or 4 fumbles & INTs per game yet somehow he avoided a pick-6 until like his third year? No, erase those "reasons" and simply list "fluke & dumb luck before crashing to the reality of his true talent".

We'll look back at 16' and realize it was all about the move

I agree, Talent is definitely there, the FO just can't seem to get their sh*t together. Change is gradual and I feel that the Rams will actually become a good team pretty soon, and the revamped LA Rams will have a new HC driving this team far. Just my gut feeling. May not be next year or the year after that, but maybe in 5 years, the Rams could be competing for the superbowl. A new era has started, but the new identity is still forming and pieces of the old identity will slowly evaporate

Scouting

The irony here is that this particular season the coaching has been solid on offense. Scheme is being put together that gives the offensive players OPPORTUNITY all over the joint. Every single game dudes have been open for big plays. For the first time in Fisher's run with this team I can say I'm actually OK with the offensive coaching this year.

But players matter too. Coaches can only do so much, and what we're seeing is the truth of that. Case is a backup level QB in this league and that means he's not going to thread the ball and make wow plays like a starter talent will. Less room for error, and it is made worse by mental lapses on too many of the wideouts.

Look at the defense... Williams will sit a dude quickly if he's not doing what he needs to. But offensively guys keep getting excuses and more playing time, and it's part of the reason IMO that Quick took so long to get it. Hold them accountable with bench time. Bench Robinson in-game if he's playing poorly, and let him feel that. They have the depth to move Saffold over and insert another OG. Bench Britt for a series if he's not running all out on routes he is a third read on. The team has other guys they can put in there.

To be fair, I do like what I'm seeing of the WR's this year, and it really looks like the Groh hire is panning out big time. I'm not sure what the hell is going on in the running game though, as I would think the fact that we have started to have some success through the air would have opened things up more. That being said, Gurley hasn't gotten enough carries in the last few games.

Where I really have sympathy for Boras is in playcalling in the passing game, because he is limited there directly because of Keenum's limitations. And I believe that goes back to Fisher, because wherever he's been, he's always been very slow and overly cautious with rookie QBs, and I definitely believe that's the case now (pardon the unintentional pun).

Bucs@49ers

I'm looking for any reason to celebrate today. The 49ers losing at home to the woeful Bucs isn't much but I'll take it. I despise that organization that much. Those of you who live, or have lived, in the SF Bay area as I did, would understand.

With around 8 minutes left in the game, it's Bucs 27/49ers 17

Kaepernick is 13/28 for 123 yds, with 1 td and 1 int. He's also rushed for 84 yds on 9 carries.
Was born in that place and can't stand any of their teams. It's fun watching the game and listening to the Buc's get cheered in the Whiners new stadium.

Who Do You Want To See The Most From Tomorrow?

Offense: Tie: Todd Gurley/Rob Boras - The need to get Gurley more involved in the offense is paramount. Remember last year when Gurley was running over a tired defense in the fourth quarter? I would love to see that on Sunday. A Rams lead going into the fourth quarter with Gurley running over the Giants and running out the clock. That brings up Boras. I like what I saw last week. He is changing his approach and Case seems to be getting more players involved. I'd like to see Boras step it up again and keep the opposing D guessing. A balanced attack is going to be needed to get over a mediocre season, and we are still one dimensional. Side note: Please get rid of the Tavon jet sweep. It's just not fooling anybody anymore.

Defense: Troy Hill. Our focus on the front seven and it is agreed that pressure on Manning will prove to be very important if we want a win tomorrow. However, that is what we are built to do. With Trumaine Johnson out, Manning (like everyone we have seen) will be trying to expose Hill. I'd like to see the newcomer show up and have a great game.

Who are you guys looking from a little more from?

I WANT TO STOP THE F'N RUN GAME ON DEF....

ON OFFENSE I WANT TO SEE US BE A CONSISTENT RUN GAME AND CONVERT ALL SHORT YARDAGE PLAYS

Wyche: Goff to get more practice reps

This year isn't about this season, it's about the next few years. Think of it as a pre-test where you get the results right away so you know what you need to study up on and what you have down pat.
This is a good analogy, and it probably would be a smart move, IF we had a QB Like say Rogers, Rivers, Brees or Brady, to put back in there, if things go south. But we don't. And I think Keenum is only just now really developing his timing with the WR's. I wouldn't want to mess that up!! (y)o_O Thoughts!?!

Marshall Faulk Q&A with Sporting News

Also, as smart as he appears... is he capable of leading a locker room as a coach? That's a whole different skill set. He did it as a player, but could he do it as a coach? He's never coached before, to my knowledge, so it's quite the unknown.
You may be right CGI, But, Kurt Warner has said on numerous occasions, that having Faulk with him on the field, was like having a Coach with him out there! I wish he would have expanded on that comment!(y):D

This Sunday Will be the last Rams game I watch this season.

I'm definitely interested in being light cavalry and doing dismounted missions. I'm gonna definitely try to get some of the stations you suggested. Hopefully the army has similar plans for me. Thanks again Bc...you have helped more than you know

101st (Fort Campbell, Kentucky) and 10th Mountain (Fort Drum, New York) will be your best bets then, if you don't get an Airborne slot.

I'd try for 101st, since they're an Air Assault unit, you'll get to Air Assault school, and do some fast roping, which is a blast. Airborne guys will call you a leg because you wont have wings, but you can then levy for Airborne school, and get both anyway. Honestly, Airborne guys will always talk a lot of crap about anyone who isn't Airborne, but it's pretty stupid.. I loved jumping, but Air Assault is more common in modern warfare.

No matter where they put you, just enjoy it, what you get out of your service will depend on what you put into it. Keep in mind that all bad things come to an end, so when shit starts to suck, know it's not forever. Above all else, enjoy yourself and give it everything you have.
