Aaron Rodgers loves him. I cant see them cutting him. There is a player there, the Jets are just so darned dysfunctional.
I didnt watch much of that game, but what I did see looked like they let him throw down field. He's got so much physical ability and despite the media representation, he's by all accounts a good kid and real hard worker
Of course, Aaron loves him.... he ain't stealing his job!!! :woozy2:

I dont see the Rams paying 5.5 mill for a backup QB
Maybe not for Zach Wilson. But they really need to find a vet backup who can hold the fort for a game or two. The undrafted or late round stuff ain't working. That Packers loss could be the one keeping us out of the playoffs. What if we had Wentz instead of Rypien?

@Elmgrovegnome always trashing better quarterbacks that run and then this dribble?! I’m ashamed to call you my friend!

We trade up to number 2 for Bo Nix and don’t look back! :sunglasses:

Yep. I wanted opinions. People thought Mayfield was trash and McVay had him playing pretty well, very quickly.
You're comparing apples and oranges tho. Wilson has never been decent. Mayfield at least was decent half the time.

He is awful..there are so many better options… I’d rather have Rypien…. no jk. They both suck. Keep Wentz and lets see

I'd rather roll with Wentz who has shown much more at the NFL level, and was himself a high draft pick, which is all I feel Wilson is coasting on at this point, his draft pedigree. I'd pass. I think he could still carve out a backup QB role in the league. It isn't easy playing in NY, and he has been put in an awful situation. But he's not a player I'd want the Rams to pursue.

Good point about playing in NY. And that oline isn't doing anyone any favors but he's got a stud WR and a very good RB this year and can't get anything going.

He really stunk last year with our OWN offensive coordinator (who I'm sure would rather be caught dead than work with him again, the dude got him fired!). The year before, eeeeeeeek.

That being said, I don't think he's ever had a very good oline (not like it would help, guy bails from perfectly fine pockets all the time) I still think there's a 5% chance he could be reclaimed. Is that worth taking a chance on him? No.

I couldn't even believe he was taken as high as he was in the draft.

I didn't know that was a stat.

How about watch some of Wilson's games and if you still think the same, bless your heart.
I put up stats on the originss as l post. They didn’t interest you, so why post more.

But open your mind and think what that means. One of the worst teams in the league who had PJ Walker and Sam Darnold, released Mayfield. He hit rock bottom.

Zach Wilson still has potential. If he was released or traded with the Jets paying most of the remainder of his contract, then I’d be fine with the Rams bringing him into camp to see if they can coach him up.
