during the telecast yesterday worthless began talking about mcvay communicating to goff until the 15 second mark on the play clock. then on the next few plays they showed the play clock in half the screen until the 15 second mark.

they did this on a few occasions. does this irritate the fuck out of anyone else? how is it still news? why is it a thing for goff only? i don't get it.

so in summary, worthless is a fucking cocksucker.

If this is true, as a defensive coordinator, wouldn’t you reset your defense after McVay can no longer communicate with Goff? Seems like it kind of gives other teams an advantage by disclosing our methods.

Yes it does bother me that they try and make seem like they are the only ones to do it. Geez enough already, every team can and most likely does the same thing.

Yes, it’s irritating- also McVay is not the first or only coach doing that either.

can anyone speculate on what is the motivation behind highlighting this whenever the rams play in big games? or is it that aikmen, witten and worthless are just douches that need something to talk about no matter how trivial and stupid it is.

What OC or whomever has the communication to the QB is only calling in a play? None, they all talk to the QB. Only a complete idiot wouldn't do that since the QB is the most critical position on the field. All the info you can give that guy matters. Down to "hey the DB looks like he is limping a bit lets go after him" and anything else.

DC's do the same thing with the one guy one the field they can talk to up until the 15 second mark too. Watch how often the guy on defense with the speaker in his helmet suddenly looks at a matchup or wave to another player on defense and point at something on the other side of the LOS or move one of his team mates to a different spot.

This is simply a way to create a topic for sports media. Goff's rise from shit to shinola has to have some sort of framework. This is going to take another season or two to go away.

Talking heads that talk about sports are the laziest you can imagine and get away with making things up or forging a narrative all the time. ESPN ruined this with their efforts to be the dominant voice by using the TV and radio shows to create sports "stories" and I have talked about this many times. The entire DeflateGate was ESPN driven to the point where on air hosts were telling Program Directors they wanted to move on but were told to keep the topic going because it created buzz (since it was the Patriots) and brought in interest and phone calls because of their history of cheating. A lot of interesting stuff in the sports world will get pushed to the side for a "storyline".

This is an example of that type of shit.

Collinsworth is out of touch and lazy in his analysis. Rehash Old stories because you don’t keep up.

How about do some homework on what plays the Rams run and what they are called.

Was about to say the same thing. Collinsworth just repeats talking points he's heard in the media. I use to not mind Collinsworth, I must not have been paying attention. He's awful.

The thing about it was.....they were implying Goff gets help at the line from McVay. But we were always getting out of the huddle last night....well after the 15 second mark. And the way we obviously wasn't communicating as we normally do....one has to wonder if down the line, we'll hear about problems w/ the intercom system. It seemed like there was a lot more to go over in the huddle and I would think by week 14.......you wouldn't have to spell everything out every play. But that's my thoughts on that.........

Back in 2008 he said the cards were the worst team to ever make the playoffs. What kind of blowhard actually says this? It was a ridiculous statement and the cards showed what a buffoon he was when they strolled through to the superbowl which they should have won but couldn't close the deal.

Since then i knew what he was, a loudmouth know nothing.

Not only that but they showed McVay several times walking the sideline looking in, not saying a damn thing into his mic while the clock ticked to 15. It's utter nonsense and a non-story but they will keep pushing the narrative even in the face of video showing it not happening any more than any other coach/QB combo in the league.

They really need to put Romo on primetime. He knows when to speak, when to watch the game, and his analysis is pretty great.

sadly it will never happen. Pleasantly surprised by his competence in the booth and ability. It seems it was a natural fit for him.

It's because Chris Simms is in everyone in NBC's ear about how Goff is McVay's puppet. Collinsworth is lazy and will run with the assumed storyline.

Agreed on how effin irritating it is. I turned the sound off before halftime due to how terrible he is.

It doesn't bother me one bit. It's their ignorance to bear with. They have egg on their face with all the Goffs a bust narrative they pushed and now they are just smearing it around into more trash to try and save face.

I mean give me a break the mic cut off for the qb-coach was in place long before now and was set because either someone asked what would be reasonable or others thought other coaches were using it to much

Collingsworth sucks! I have never understood how he keeps his job, he must be married to the producer's daughter or son.
