The think the 49ers should (but who knows) focus more on locking up some of their young and talented corp. Even with their space, if they decide to chase 1-2 higher FAs they risk paying the piper down the road with their own. I hope they sign Revis, and any other high priced FA because it likely means that a quality young player will be on the market in a couple of years.
The final thing, not to derail the OP, but even though Seattle and SF look strong in reality and in the future, a Rams team that is in that league looks possible and from there it is anyone's ball game. The Rams basically beat SF twice and Seattle once and lost in a rough stadium late. Imagine what a maturing offense that can score more than 17 points can do. Imagine what a D that has saw the read-option 3 times (and did well with it) can do with some game planning and the right additions.
It will be interesting to see if the Rams draft with a slant on SF and Seattle or just doing their own thing. If they go with a LB who can run before round 4 I'm thinking about them reacting to their own division. FWIW, I've been after a LB who can run for the past 3-4 years.
