If TruJo takes a fair market price, then by all means extend him.

There are many positives, besides just money, to entice him to want to stay.

But if he walks, Snead has demonstrated the ability to find quality CB’s via the draft over and over again.

I’m just not gonna worry about TruJo, either way.

I'm ready to move on from TruJo, believe he may have burned some bridges with his and his agents past contract negotiations. Not happy with the way the Rams handled it either as we should have dropped him last season for a better CB in AJ Bouye and saved some $11mil off this years CAP.
The Rams need money to re-sign other players, so i'd prefer using our #1 draft pick at CB and attempt to lure back EJ Gaines now that he's a free agent. With E.J.'s injury history, he should come at a pretty reasonable rate and would be great competition for Webster and the #2 role. jmo.

I have always maintained that Tru is simply not worth #1 CB money. Let the SonOfBum and Les get their own preferred CBs for less: a true #1 CB and a quality #2 CB. We will need an heir apparent for Andrew Whitworth's role. We got to pay Aaron; the Gurley Express' contract will be coming up again in a few years.

This is all about what Tru will accept. And my recommendation to him is to take the #2 CB level money and ride the rest of his career out with the high end coaching and organization that the Rams now have.

So many guys want to run for the most money. But then they're miserable in losing situations, get cut a year or two out, etc. Stay where you know it's good, where you have the right guys in place. Devil you know baby. Sign the dotted line and ride it Tru.

He is not worth what he will want. He has played a little better than average I guess. He is not a great man to man CB. If the Rams could manage 9 Million per year that would be the limit. He is also 29 so getting up in age.

Been saying that for some time myself and I do agree chances are he's gone. But who knows, maybe all this winning will lead to a change of heart.

Tru has made 34.5 mill playing for us. It’s not like he hasn’t been paid decently with all this considered. I know all players want long terms contracts etc but I really feel he will be resonable with us in negotiations. He seems to want to stay and knows the pass rush helps him out.

I say we can keep him for about 11.5-13 a year which is a good amount for him and his skills by next season and the going market.

Sportrac doesn’t have his 2018 valuation in yet so thinking it will be in that neighborhood.

IMO we need to draft a top tier CB in this coming draft and keep Tru. That should set us for a long time at two important positions. However, Donald is the first contract domino to fall and we’ll start seeing the rest follow.

I think he will give the Rams a team friendly deal similar to Webster's deal. I believe that he and several others want to continue to be Rams.

My sentiments exactly!! Now that hopefully this is the start to of a "winning organization" for years to come, I would like to see us adapt the mentality of the Patriots- dont overpay your players! To fully accomplish this I believe it starts with winning consistently so it gives players more of an incentive to stick around and to thrive in a good atmosphere!
