Can you be kicked off the board for saying 49ers and "good" in the same sentence?
Nope. For example. “We gave the 49ERS a GOOD buttkickin!” See?! It’s totally ok. Ha ha. Plus McVay has ’niner ties from his family.

Going to be a great rivalry and there are others in the Conference too like the Eagles for example. Overall last year was good, but the playoff loss hurt and until McVay's Rams get their first post season win, I will continue to be cautiously optimistic.

Great off season and solid draft, combine with an offensive coach that seems to be above the rest and the best defensive coordinator in the NFL that now has his guys on defense. Overall the San Francisco 49ers set up a great rivalry for the simple fact that, if the Rams did not hire McVay they would have hired Kyle Shanahan IMHO and if the 49ers did not hire Kyle Shanahan, they would have hired Sean McVay, so there is always that and I consider Kyle Shanahan one of the premier play callers in the NFL, so we'll see how McVay measures up mono on mono so far he's 1-1 even if you want to discount the last game of the year, his record against the Niners is 1-1.

Overall the Rams seem to be headed in the right direction and I feel very confident they have the right pieces in place, but now you have to go out and win the game and that includes post season because as of right now the best Post Season Head Coach in the NFC is Doug Pederson.

Probably water boy running out on timeouts but he probably still would take bad angles to run from the sidelines to our huddle with the water and miss completely. Watching his tape is horrendous.

I think he may have thought he was MUCH faster than he actually was, that's the only possibly way to explain his line of attack on ballcarriers and on guys he was helping cover.

Every team goes through adversity, and in some demented way I kinda want to see how this team will handle it.

That's a good point. If they lose a game blowing a 16 point lead in the 4th quarter it would be interesting to see how they come back the next week.

If only Dickerson had stayed..........it's possible the Rams would have picked up a SB because the AFC was so-so most years back then.

And along came the 90's right after the 80's. :puke:

It feels like the Rams were under some kind of witch's curse for a dozen years that cast a drought upon the land, but it has finally been lifted and the harvest is plentiful and the people are rejoicing throughout the kingdom. Problem is that I can't shake the feeling that the witch is still out there (somewhere) ready to curse us again for offending her in some unforeseen way. I have nothing but respect for whatever it is that still motivates Browns' fans to get up in the morning.

Other than a 3 year blip on the radar from 99-01 it was more like two and a half decades going on three.

From 1990 until last year it was a shitshow of record breaking proportions.

I almost gave up...........then..........1 9 9 9.

IDK man I played with a guy in HS and we were playing for the championship and it was exact same thing! They literally scored 3 touchdowns in a row driving up and down the field at the end of the game because he was just geometrically challenged!!! Sigh... I still cry in my pillow at night sometimes...

There were a few good Bulger seasons (12-4 in 2003). Rams were a watchable team until they fell off the cliff in 2007.

It almost seems "too perfect". So I'm still hesitant for no good reason. Last year did a lot to bring my confidence back for this team. But still have that "this is going to fall to crap any minute now" feeling ingrained into my DNA thanks to the past.

This too is my 45th year as a diehard Rams fan.

These past few has been like a fairytale.

When they moved back to LA I said I don't care if they go 0-16 for the rest of my life, I am more than good. Of course I know I was fooling myself but I hope to get the point across.

Then last year? You have got to be kidding me! It also proved a point I had been spewing for a long time. You don't need great players to win, you need good players with GREAT Coaching. And holy cow. Almost a clean sweep with all the MVPs.

The 70's Knox years were certainly some of the best. The Robinson years and ED were a lot of fun. The 99-01 blip was exciting but it just didn't have longevity written in it and some of us felt that.

This is the first time I feel like there is that possibility to have long term success ever since I became a fan 45 years ago.

Moving into the Palace in Inglewood with this kind of competitive team is going to be unlike what any fan has experienced from my take.

What a ride we are on.

GO RAMS!!!

We are going to be so much fun to watch and cheer for this season! Our offense will cut through defenses. And our defense just isn't going to be fair. :boxing:... :football:

48 years and every opening day I had hope, every season. I was always nervous even when we apparently had great teams. This year will be no different. I'll tout our greatness all the while waiting for some unforeseen obstacle to crop up. I just wish the AD drama would right itself before this preseason starts.

49th year for me and I'm not drinking the kool-aid just yet. We are 1 maybe 2 injuries away from being 7-9, if Goff or Gurley go down for the season, we are done. Trust me I am not a pessimist, just nervous. I'm still fighting cancer and would die (no pun intended) to see one more SB win and to see the new stadium.

This will be my 16th season watching the Rams. Started with seeing Jeff Wilkins miss 3 field goals in double OT against Carolina. 04 and 05 they were barely on TV so my only way of seeing them was highlights. In 2006, my dad bought me the NFL ticket. That was a very fun season albeit only an 8-8 record. It all went downhill after that.

Anyway, this is the first time in my adult life I can confidently say we have a great team. In fact, it's hard for me to find a loss on our schedule. So fucking pumped.

From 1999 for me. I enjoyed the GSoT, but that was not to last. This team? This has a chance to be more than a fairy tale, more than a mere happy ever after. This team has the potential to win numerous Super Bowls.

That was one lucky season.

And Bulger was the QB for the worst 3 years of football this ballclub has ever seen.

3-13, 2-14 then 1--15.

That's that.
There is no such thing as a "lucky season". A "lucky play" might help you win a "lucky game", but if it happens in 75% of your games it isn't luck.
