In a way, this Rams team seems less real than it did not too long ago..
A couple years ago, the Rams were undeniably real. All of the losing, the previous decade of dysfunction, every scar and wrinkle, was in 3-D, in your face, super mega ultra HD.
The Rams seemed so damn tangible, you could almost smell Fishers moustache coming through your crappy stream from some shady link you shouldn't have clicked...
The Rams of today seem harder to grasp. Like some kind of dream that I know I will have to wake up from...
Ok, I know, wtf badnews.

Sean McVay is too perfect. Seriously, if he was a rivals HC, I would probably start hating the guy before too long. It would be entirely out of jealousy.
Jared Goff straight up looked like the Natural last season. We all know what we saw out of him over the season. The narrative that he isnt legit exists as way to make sense of how the Rams could just suddenly have such A great young HC annnd a great young QB? Surely not! It must be some sort of trick, its all McVay...
Todd Gurley is young and is currently the best weapon in the game. MVP caliber. How did the Rams f*** that up? They didn't. He is a happy Ram for his prime. Unbelievable.
Aaron Donald is the best defensive player in football.
The whole damn roster is LOADED you guys!!!! I mean for fucks sake look at it!!!
New stadium is a fantasy land...
Pinch me. No, don't.
This is a fairytale team and they do not come around often and for some fans out there, they never do.

It is certainly a time to remember.

A small part of me wants to capture this mixture of hope and seemingly inevitable victory in a bottle.

Win or lose, this is a moment in time I will remember fondly.

Goodnews from @badnews !

I was just making the point with someone earlier today.

In my 45 years of following this team, this is the best, most complete team, on paper.

I hope and pray it plays out that way!

Billicheck is the evil genius who's always grumpy.
McVay is the whiz kid who's always happy.

It almost seems "too perfect". So I'm still hesitant for no good reason. Last year did a lot to bring my confidence back for this team. But still have that "this is going to fall to shit any minute now" feeling ingrained into my DNA thanks to the past.

It is flat out unbelievable. New state of the art stadium, new uniforms, new coaches, the players and the GM...unbelievable!

I'm also right at about 45 years, and couldn't agree with you more! A few more weeks to go, and on!

I saw that number and thought to myself "That's a long time!". Then I started counting, ran out of fingers and toes, used the girlfriends fingers and toes (keep it clean, guys) and still didn't have enough! So I started adding the hairs on my head. Had just enough to make it to 50.

5o years! HOLY CRAP I'm old!

I’m enjoying every bit of this!! Coming from the 4 pillars, Just King and Craig Dahl roaming our backfields to The Lock Angeles Rams, Suh, AD, a Wiz Kid coach and a hell of a weapon in Goff pulling the trigger and an MVP in the backfield. Damn!!! Ohhh btw a state of the art stadium coming in very soon.

Eat your hearts out NFL!!! It’s our turn... finally!

This team sure is a bit of a Madden-like one. But it's McVay that is the crowning glory in my mind.

Goodnews from @badnews !

I was just making the point with someone earlier today.

In my 45 years of following this team, this is the best, most complete team, on paper.

Year #45 for me, too!

I have thought less about the Rams than ever before. Why? What is there to think about? The Coaches and GM are operating at the highest level--the decisions with personnel and all look great. The risks have been good.

Trading up to Goff was a great move by Snead!! (whether it was Goff or Wentz).
We had some help with Fish when he supplied Brown, Kept Saffold and got Havenstein in an O line focused draft.

Previoulsy, the only teams I didn't concern myself with too much, was the 1978 and 2001 Rams, and look what happened in the NFCC and Supper bowl--eat me, supper.

The best Ram coaches/years were (counting good years only):
1997-99 Vermeil was great, but even he wanted to trade Faulk, go with June Henley, was forced to hire an OC. The roster that was built was great, but then we didn't upkeep it when we let the great GM (Dick) go. He couldn't manage egos like McVay.
1983-1989 John Robinson was very good, but something was missing in the
front 7 on defense that never, ever got fixed. Wilcher was good, never great.
2000-2004 Martz was good, but he made a lot of bad, bad choices---and the drafts were atrocious. Ya, he was an engineer, but the NFL requires more than that.
1973-1977 Knox was great, but didnt get the QB-thing down. Major hole!
1978-1980 Malavasi was good---but we were short a few times on offense in the playoffs: 1978 and 1980.
2012-2015 Fisher was baddish- but, he made us tough, and took some good risks. But, he didn't know that the offenseive system is important (Even Ditka knew that!) However you see it, Fish left some good morsels for the 2017 roster to use as a spring board.

Yes,the 2001 team migh have had better talent, but the 2018 team is right there with them. Don't forget Bly, Williams made probowls, so the 2001 had very, very good talent at the corners (even the though McCleon started). I will take the 2017 O line over 2001, and I am happy with Gurley, too over Faulk. Yep, I like Gurley more. Faulk's blitz pick up and coaching is the only reason Faulk is near him. So waht Faulk ran WR routes? How many catches did he catch those WR routes? 3-4 max. Gurley will be awesome like Faulk in the coming years, too.

Honesty, it feels like Patriots-good, or hate to say it 49ers-80s good. The holes we have on the roster are probably the smallest in the NFL. ANd, if OBO works out, then we will be amazing. If he doesn't, we still might be.

In retrospect I have to say 1999 and this team because it was loaded all over back then too. People forget how good that defense was.

This team has a clear edge on ST's, but that team had a HOF backfield.

It's a tough call.

From horror movie to fairytale...

No kidding it was a total shit show for a long, long time. I've said it before and I will say it again.

THEY OWE US THIS!!!

This team sure is a bit of a Madden-like one. But it's McVay that is the crowning glory in my mind.

Snead.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Craig Dahl would be 5th string on this team...and be moved to strong safety, lol

Scout Team.

He couldn't cover anyone, but when he hit you there was no doubt that you got hit.

I'm not sure even 5th string man! haha

Probably water boy running out on timeouts but he probably still would take bad angles to run from the sidelines to our huddle with the water and miss completely. Watching his tape is horrendous.

It almost seems "too perfect". So I'm still hesitant for no good reason. Last year did a lot to bring my confidence back for this team. But still have that "this is going to fall to crap any minute now" feeling ingrained into my DNA thanks to the past.

Every team goes through adversity, and in some demented way I kinda want to see how this team will handle it.

Fortunately, I haven't lost any confidence since 2012. Say whatever you want about JF, but starting with him Sean McVay and Co., I have never once doubted their competitiveness on a week-to-week basis. Unlike 2006-2011, for instance.
