You know, I don't disagree with almost anything you said, except that Patterson is selected s part of the All Decade Team? I think of him as a JAG. What am I missing?

Patterson has seven kick return TDs in his career, which is second most all time(to Josh Cribbs). CP is also second all time to Gale Sayers in average yards/kickoff return for his career.

Meh..I hear you, but I'd rather have a guy who became too valuable to be a kick off returner...

Not saying I would've made him a top 10 pick in the draft, but given the way they've neutered the kickoff, anyone who can still generate excitement on that play is (y) in my book.

I went with the flow on the Austin pick but, wondered why the move up. He looked like he could be exciting and be a big playmaker. He had a lot of returns called back early in his career. Made some nice exciting plays but, never was the big difference-maker. Funny but, I liked Patterson's teammate can't remember his name. He never did anything as he was a head case but, had some talent. Patterson is a monster on returns. He has speed and is hard to tackle. I couldn't understand why he never could get traction as a WR. One-tenth of a yard from a career 30 yards KO return average at 29.9 yards.

The drafting of Tavon was not the biggest problem the extension was. It was a desperation move to give him that extension.
