Ok, we've had the other thread about the most gut-wrenching losses, now it's time to flush those bad memories from our system and replace them with good ones. So let's hear your sweetest Rams wins, I'll go first.

- SB 34 ... this one is pretty obvious, will be the most referenced one in this thread I bet.

- Breaking the streak against the 49ers. God that was sweet. I had a feeling going into the game that this was the time and sure enough it was. The Rams teased them just enough to let them close to within 8 points before Tony Horne kicked them right square in the middle of their man-panties with the 97 yard kickoff return. Then Warner threw the FU touchdown to Bruce to put the Rams up by 22 points. We could have scored more, but we kneeled down at the end, showing mercy to them, which made it more humiliating. My cheeks were hurting from smiling so much, and it was a gift that kept on giving. Some people don't remember that the 49ers were 3-1 going into that game. They were 1-11 the rest of the way, and it was the Rams that beat the life out of them, destroyed any remnants of their mystique, and sent their season into a tailspin. How sweet is that, baby?

- The 2004 comeback at Seattle. They were sooooo cocky when the were up 27-10, and we just chipped away at them until we pulled to a tie. You could see on their faces they were worried, and when Bulger connected with MacDonald in overtime, all their fears were justified.

- The 2004 wild card win at Seattle. Remember Matt Hasselbeck on the ground after Bobby Ingram dropped the last ditch pass? To steal a line from Dieter of the SNL sketch "Sprockets", his agony was gorgeous.

- The 1985 divisional playoff game against Dallas, when Dickerson ran over, around, and through the Cowboys "defense" for a postseason record 248 yards. We shut them out to boot, the only time the Cowboys were ever shut out in the postseason.

- The 1989 Wild Card win at Philadelphia. Wiped the smirk right off Buddy Ryan's face. They still had a chance late in the 4th until that huge run by Greg Bell just sucked the life right out of them. They said the Rams were soft, and yet the Rams went into their house and punked their asses.

- The 1979 Divisional playoff win at Dallas. I can still hear the deafening silence that fell over Texas Stadium when Ferragamo hit Waddy for the game winner. Plus, we made Roger Staubach a loser in his final NFL game, at home no less. Suck it, Roger.

- The 2001 NFC championship. Best job of in-game coaching ever by Mike Martz. They tried to take the pass away with extra db's, and did a decent job of slowing down our offense. So Martz came out in the second half and called something like seven straight running plays to Faulk, as the Rams drove right down the field. Even though we had to settle for a FG, the tempo was established for the second half, and Jim Johnson's defensive playcalling was discombobulated for the rest of the game - playing run when we passed and playing pass when we ran.

Looking forward to hearing yours.

This thread has some pretty sweet Rams games in it... ;)

Thanks, didn't know about it. And it reminded me of another, the win over New Orleans in the 1989 season. No Ellard, down 17-3 with less than 3 minutes to play against a defense that treated Everett like an unloved rag doll all night, and somehow Jim wills them to two TD's to send it into OT ... then drives them for the winning FG. And Anderson sets the single game receiving yard record which stands to this day as a nice bonus. Man, I was on cloud 9 leaving the sports bar I watched that game in.

The closest I ever came to crying over a football game. We broke the curse

BTW, meant the thread title to be "sweetest", not "sweeted", but my crappy editing instinct kicked in ... doh!

The Seattle game where we came back 17 points in the 4th quarter was epic. It felt like a miracle. I still love Michael Hooamohanui (However u spell that) for his performance in that game.

Actually, the problem for the Rams was to beat both of them. In '76, they beat the Cowboys, but couldn't beat the Vikings. In '78, they beat the Vikings but couldn't beat the Cowboys. By beating the Cowboys in '79, they broke the pattern and instead of facing the Vikings in the NFCC, they played Tampa.

Yeah, I know. That 9-0 win in the rain was a given in my mind - I totally looked past Tampa. Once we beat the Cowturds, life was all good :)

I loved this win too, but I think you're thinking of Brandon manumaleuna, not Illinois Mike.

That was it! Lol It's been too long.

Mike Holmgren said at that time that he'd remember that loss forever. It along those lines. That was sweet!

When the Rams came back against Houston with Fitz setting the sky on fire was a sweet win, too. I thought we found the next KW that day. Lol

There's been a bunch. In person I'd probably have to say the NFC Champ game vs the Bucs. My father couldn't go, so my late grandfather went with me and my brother. Earliest I've ever been to a game, or in the dome before a game I guess. So early in fact we had to wait for them to open the doors ha. I remember everything about that game/day down to the smallest detail.

Some more off the top of my head would be the 2004 playoff win against Seattle. Parents were out of town. Had a party Friday night. Everyone rolled out of bed in the afternoon for the game. Another party. Enough said.

The 2003 MNF game vs Baltimore when Jamal Lewis broke the single game rushing record comes to mind too. It was my birthday. We tailgated. Enough said.

Really all of the early 2000's games. We used to have a camper that we would take to tailgate in. It could get pretty insane. I could literately tell you a story for every game haha. There's no point in listing them all. I was going to keep going but I'd be typing all night hahaha.

The huge come back and overtime win on the road against the Texans.
3rd string QB Ryan FitzHarvard played out of his mind. Bruce went out on STL coverage so he could will the ball back to the offense, the screen to Kevin Curtis. ..

Not an all time great game, but a good one certainly.

Man there are some good ones listed here.

@Username That game vs Baltimore in 2003 was actually a Sunday night game. I loved that one and remember it well because I was staying at the Atlantis as I was about to get married. I had put down a $500 bet at the sports book in the casino. I watched the game back in my room getting shit faced with my bride to be... After we won, I told her that I was going down to the casino immediately to collect my cash. I did. I was only wearing my boxers. The cashier at the sports book was kind enough to bring it to my attention. Hahahaha. I was very happy with that one.

@SierraRam My Grandfather surprised me and took me to that 79 Championship game in Tampa. One of my fondest memories.

The 2001 Championship game in STL is also tied for tops on my list. I couldn't believe how loud it was in the Dome. You could scream as loud as you possibly could and you still couldn't hear yourself at all. I still have one of the towels they passed out as you came in for that game. Nothing like winning at home to secure your place in the SB.

Denver in 2006 and 2010. Since my best friend is a Broncos fan.

Nothing will top beating the 49ers in 2012 though. Seeing krapondick walk off the field nearly in tears was tasty.

For me it's between two games in the '99 Season. WK. 5 Drubbing the 49ers 42-20 at Home, or WK. 11 Whoopin' the 49ers 23-7 in their House for a Season sweep!! Can't make up my mind!!

Hahaha

Hey,,, I love my Captain (so what if it's cheap) LOL.

Kalik Light ... drank many of those. It's my only option when I run out of Corona Light. It's really not all that much different in taste. After 4 or 5 who gives a shit anyway.
