Does this guy have legit sources?

If this is true, I'm expecting Tavon to have a few more carries tonight. Nobody else has shown anything.

On the other hand, maybe we need to feed Stacy and let him chip away and gain some momentum.

You may be on to something there. I think Stacy is the kind of back that needs a bunch of carries to get a head of steam going. One here and there isn't his style I'm afraid and I don't think we will see much production out of him in that way. I thought our backfield was going to be ok but it seems we have a somewhat fragile DR, a somewhat air-head IP, a somewhat "not ready for primetime" SC and a non-primed ZS. I hope something gels soon with these 4 or we will be looking at a RB early in the draft in 2014. Cmon Redskins, stink it up for us!!!!

[hilite]That Skin pick is reserved for one Jadaveon Clowney.[/hilite]

I'm not panicked on the RB situation just yet - and that is assuming Pead is done here. I'm hoping there is more to Stacy than we have seen so far - and its hard to be all that disappointed in Cunningham and Richardson. I think this crew can get it done.

Why would we take Clowney there? We still need another WR, another DT, another OT. Let's either trade the pick or get an elite one of those. We already have Quinn, Long and Hayes backing them up. Besides he hasn't been doing all that well this year. His stock very well might drop

If we are picking 2nd overall (which is where we would need to be) - we damn sure better not try and just fill a need. Take the best defensive player to come out in the last decade and figure out where he fits later. If it means Chris Long loses snaps, then so be it.
I am SO tired of hearing best player to come out over the last decade!

I have heard this term about a player every draft for the last 8 to 10 years.

Clowney has one good year and everyone crowns him sounds Alot like nadummykong to me. Show me what he's done this year.

I disagree on both views. I said before this season we are weak at rb and I stand by that. As far as clowny is concerned I'm not interested I believe there are other holes to fill. If we get a top 5 pick I would say trade down and get extra picks.

If we come in at 4 or 5, which would probably be the Washington pick at this point, I want one of the top tackles. Matthews has played plenty of RT before, and can swing to LT when Jake is let go, (whenever that may be).

One more point on the Clowney thing - not to hijack this anymore than I already have -

One of the Rams backup first round targets was Datone Jones. Where do you imagine he was going to play?

I see what you're saying, but he's not playing that well this year. Plus, he has to have foot surgery in the offseason. I believe he might fall out of the top 5. This draft is loaded on talent and a bad season will put you behind quick. If we could get a great player at OT (like Lewan or Matthews), stick them in at RT until Long moves on and move them to LT then we'll be set at that position for the next 10 years. Clowney...well we're already set there. Don't see a reason to get him. Plus, I honestly don't believe he's the best defensive player to come out in a decade. He looks out of shape and lazy

We honestly don't know that. I know there were reports that they liked him. But the "War room" reports from Peter King indicate that we got our two 1st round guys and if Ogletree got picked before us it would go to Larry Warford with a trade down.

Whatever about Pead if true he's had plenty of opportunities maybe not to be let loose w/ 15-20 carries yet but from the sounds of things its more personal detrimental off the field. Missing or being late for team required functions is no tolerance esp for a Fisher coached team.

Idk fellas rolling w/ DRich, Benny C and Stacey has me now stuttered. Not for that talent they bring but actually show casing it to sustain drives esp long ones to keep the momentum on US.

I've heard from a couple of my sources that the running back depth chart has changed this week... It looks like the line up will be,
1. DRich 2. Ben Cunningham 3. Zac Stacey

I believe Pead will be inactive tonight...
So sorry to the Pead fans that expected him to have 20 carries tonight...

Rumor has it, his head isn't on strait...
You were right last time... so I'll believe ya!

They say last week he missed the team meeting before they left the facilities to head to airport for Dallas... He was so late he had to meet the team at the airport as they boarded the plan...
So idk if that's part of the reason or what...

makes sense

jenkins and givens broke curfew against the niners last year and were inactive for it.

love how people are reading too much into this

Seems to me that example works if he was inactive in Dallas.

Right on, I was leaning towards this guy having bogus sources.

The Peter King article is where I got the info. Ogletree was the top target, then Jones, then Warford. At least thats how I remember the article - but its been a bit.

I wonder if a short week and Drich's health plays a factor in that

You were right, I went back and re-read the article. It was either Jones or Warford if Ogletree wasn't available. Maybe they thought he would be converted to a 4-3 gap shooting DT. I don't think they envisioned him as their DE
