Do people really care what former Rams do after years of horrible play here?

Grob is going to cost Stafford some major headaches.

Stafford could be looking at some major medical expenses.
But, he looks better than any man on our right side....seriously
“I finally got to meet Greg and talk with him and visit with him and I found him to be an articulate, bright young man who just didn’t have a lot of answers. I believe he’s getting answers now. I’ve had a couple conversations with him, but I believe that Ron Prince is giving him the answers that he needs. And some of what I’ve seen has not been what I saw here.”
Truth at last....

And we gave him away for a 6th round pick....:wtf::hellno:

Good riddance!! I was once a believer, but now it's clear GRob will be another of many to join the Rams line of inept LOT's we spent high capital on.

Alex Barron, Jason Smith, Greg Robinson, and Rodger Saffold.

I would look at it in a different way....Snead, McVay & Kromer had the opportunity to investigate the Rams OL & all the OL'ers who can or might be able to play OT position before the trade. Rams have Whitworth,Saffold & now Darrell Williams all available to play LT post so GRob was not needed @ LT today. IMO

The issues was @ RT not LT. Fact is who has seen GRob perform RT responsibilities in actual game action with the Pads on? So how can we possibly know GRob would be an answer to our current issues ongoing in pass protection @ RT.
Rams 2017 OT's
Andrew Whitworth
Rodger Saffold
Andrew Donnal
Rob Havenstein
Darrell Williams
Pace Murphy
Micheal Dunn
Greg Robinson

The Bumpy road that brought us here, was that early plan by Kromer....GRob was mature & mentally able to flip sides & produce at NFL level RT play. The other elements involving this Kromer plan was last season's late season starter @ RT/RG Andrew Donnal. The plan was to have him compete when healthy again. Then there was Pace Murphy who won a roster spot early in pre season 2016. Pace did that @ LT but as the season wore on he saw time @ RT too & played RT with the offense in 2 gms & looked good. That plan looked solid to me until it went up in flames.

What happen? GRob completely failed to put in any effort & was unworthy of the opportunity. Andrew Donnal never got fully healthy from hip surgery then injured his knee removing him from competing (this is the same knee he injured in wk #11 in 2015 that sacked him for the rest of the season). Reserve Jamon Brown was tried & tested & he failed. Then Pace Murphy injured his elbow badly & his performance has suffered since. Thus Kromer had no real options but shelve his Havenstien ORG plan& reinsert Rob back in @ RT & we are back where we started.

Ram Org. made the decision GRob was NOT a good fit here. As you know I agree with them 100%.:D

This assumes there was any way of getting that GRob playing on the Rams. Sometimes the fit just isn't there.

I was thinking about this as I watched the line the other day....It would have been risky....no doubt to trust that Greg could remain at LT, with the coaching of Kromer....I wondered, could we have found a FA RT.....I got a bunch of names...but say someone like Melnik Watson....kid from the Raiders...or a cheaper RT....and left Greg at LT....maybe had a lil change to offer Donald a better deal....anyhow

It still seems removing Greg has possibly strengthened our left side....but our entire line had issues...I look at Andrew Luck as an example...terrible line...and he's already having serious injury issues...

I still wonder...what could have been?

No one can tell me Brown or Havenstein are better players...Not Krommer, OleSchool, or even you my good friend Boni...dude has more talent. And, we needed him...Goff needs more protection until he gets the timing issues down. Until then, we will have up and down performances...Strip sacks...pressure...fantom pressure...and questions...what would the offense do, with adequate protection?

I don't think Austin is dumb, I think the dumb arse coaches did not use him to the best of his ability. This should not be an issue with our current staff.

I am truly in Austin's corner, am awed by his open-field skills, and hope to see great things from him this season. But this comment of yours puzzles me.

TA got 7 on his Wonderlic. I repeat, 7! 7!!?! I have taken the test twice online for kicks and got between 42 and 47 without breaking a sweat. I honestly feel like I could not even look at the questions and score higher than 7.

I believe TA is going to have a hard time fitting in with this coaching regime's player template.

I won't lie, I find it intriguing. I'm a football fan so I find it entertaining to see how players perform under different circumstances.

In Robinson's case however. I'm not expecting much. He might perform slightly better. Dont ever see him being a quality LT. Would have liked to try him at RG in a competition with Brown. Rams felt it was better to move on. Don't blame em.

What cracks me up is we'll take on a player who struggled or was bad elsewhere and they turn it around and everybody is happy. It's a great story and it helps the team. Then a guy like GRob who was horrible for us gets traded and it seems turns it around and all people talk about is how horrible the Rams are because this one guy we couldn't get his best. We get the best out of a half dozen other guys but because we didn't out of GRob we're bad. Very funny double standard to me.

I bet it won't be long before Lion fans would just as soon have that 6th round pick back.

I was listening in on a recent Redskins game and you'll never guess who dropped a pass, at a crucial point in the game, and got berated by the announcers.

The mark of a leader can often be seen in how they handle an obvious blunder(s) on their part.

Amazing how Saffold, who we were all sick of at one point or another, emerges victorious in that joke of a group. I still have my concerns because of his injury history, but the guy has done a great job thus far.

Browns fans are already talking bad about Britt and how it seems he only plays good for Fisher, everybody else he stinks for.

Are they really? I haven't watched much of the browns this preseason, but the quarter or so that I saw, Britt was dropping a pass in the redzone.
