I'm guessing he's getting better advice from the Rams medical and training staff than he will from anybody on here.

Yeah. I fully agree with that. I'm just saying, it worries me.

I dunno .... assuming Kupp and the Rams trainers know what they’re doing...pretty dangerous.
He should probably sit till mid season just to be on the safe side.

Or sit until game 1. Or how about just go easier during practices until game 1.
Another full 35 days of not giving the knee "full stress" can be very beneficial.

But did you really think that the Rams and their medical team, who I’m sure have far more knowledge and understanding of Kupp’s Injury than you or I, would allow him to be pushed to the point of risking injury after all this time of getting him ready? Didn’t think so.

You make a good point. But last season, the day I surprisingly read that he'd be playing again on his "strained knee" I said no way. Don't do it. His knee is not right.

He then tore is ACL or MCL (forget which one) and was out of for season, playoffs, AND super bowl.

I'll ask the same question back at ya. Last season, do you think the Rams trainers and medical team should have allowed him to be pushed to the point of further injury?

I'm never going to act like I have more knowledge about knee injuries than them. I'm just saying I have yet again, another weird gut feeling about Kupp's knee being pushed too hard, too soon. I'm pretty sure I'm allowed an opinion about it. And allowed to mention my opinion on a Rams Chat Board. ;)

No we only do hard core facts here. No conjectures, no theories, no guessing, no surmising, and and absolutely no opinions whatsoever. Only truths that can be proven in a New Orleans court of law.

But he got hurt in the Denver game and sat out the SF & GB games. He played in the NO too. He got hurt against Seattle. Maybe if he got hurt playing in the game right after Denver I would agree but I believe it was just bad luck.

And all I'm saying is why worry about it if we know he's getting top notch care? They all know better than us, including Cooper himself, so sit back and enjoy the ride.

I imagine they measured his knee strength somehow. They sat him yesterday. I have faith in what the Rams are doing with Kupp. They need to reign him in like yesterday and give him some rest early on. He seems good to go.

His legs are NOT looking too strong right now. Maybe he does need the on field work.

Nah. In my opinion not just bad luck. Same knee. Same area of the knee.

By the way, an honorable mention to myself, haha. See the words right under my name under my avatar?
Rams hit Superbowl 2018 season

I put that in there around October of 2017. Mods can probably confirm if they were super bored. I'm just saying I realized in October of 2017 we weren't good enough to make it to the SB that year, but I knew we had the pieces in place to be good enough the following season, thus predicting our 2018 season super bowl appearance.

What I'm trying to say is that I can't get enough of how amazing my predictions are.

It was not a coincidence that Kupp's injured knee (from the chickens!&# horse-collar) was the same knee that he tore his ACL. The weakened knee ligaments could not hold up under the stress of a routine stutter step on his route in the Seattle game. Hind sight 20/20 - the Rams brought him back too soon. I believe the Rams will be overly cautious bringing him back this year which may mean he wont start game 1 of the regular season - especially since we have Reynolds/Hodge/Webster and need Kupp 100% at the end of the season.

but not the game after getting injured like you implied

I never implied or said "he got hurt the very next game after."
I simply thought and said that he was back way too early and the knee was still weak.

Are you myself in an alternate universe? Every word above is exactly how I felt last season, and what has me worried right now.

I was shocked Kupp didn't tear ligaments in the Denver game. His knee was severely over-extended and twisted against the grain. That was not an incidental horse-collar. That was a desperate act of frustration by the defender.

Welp I followed the Redskins closely in 2012--similar to Kupp, RG3 kept playing on an injured knee until he tore it up. He wore a brace the entire next year, and as everyone knows was never the same. It's so amazing to see Kupp seemingly fully recovered, if not stronger, and already.
