Where's the blue font? :) This is the vent thread, isn't it?

Two things about this thread:
1) It wasn't started by a mod with the obligatory warnings in the OP like a regular vent thread would have.
2) If you read the OP by Rhody it wasn't meant for venting at all.

Yeah, I'm pissed because Rhody only used half of his knowledge on how to start a vent thread.

I just thought the D would be better than it's been. Our big weakness is QBs that can make plays with their legs. The D did not contain Wilson like they have in the past.

But this was a fun game. Tavon's punt return trickery fooled me. I thought to myself 'it seemed like that punt was heading to other side of the field' but from my vantage point I thought I must have misjudged it while keeping my eyes on Tavon. Then BOOM. Wow.
well, if your vantage point was like mine--in front of my tv--you probably were even more confused than the seahawks. horrible, horrible camera work...by the time the idiot with the camera realized he was filming nothing, and finally found bailey, he was already way inside seahawk territory. to top it off, they never did show a clean, complete replay of it.

OK I'll vent ,I'm fuckin pissed that even though we beat the Hawks ,that people term our ST plays "trick" a PA pass is designed to trick the D, double moves are trick plays , easily half of all plays have a component of deception. Some seriously great coaching there we made Pete Carrol look like a complete dullard.
AND I"M REALLY PISSED that a near perfect performance by Austin Davis isn't being raved about on the national feeds in order to attribute the win to the ST plays.
If Davis is a game manager he was the best damned game manger in the league yesterday

My only recommendation is stop playing "not to lose" when we have a lead. Once we start playing "to win," when we have a lead, everything else will take care of itself. Great win. Character builder no doubt.
The aggressive play calling when Seattle pulled to within a score showed a change in mindset to me.
Schotty was in that protect the lead mode, when Seattle pulled close he opened it up again.

18 for 21 and that with a drop or two. This was Davis best performance even if he did not pile up a ton of yardage. Not a coquinky-dink that the pass protection was solid and the running game was working.

My only vent is this... I went back today and read the game day thread and I wish our fellow brothers and sisters on here wouldn't be such band wagon jumpers... When we are doing great, it's pure euphoria. As soon as the 'Hawks make a comeback, people (some) are wanting the coaching staff fired. We played the world champs and beat them... let's at least wait til the end of the game and see the end result without wanting the coaching staff fired!

Dan Patrick is giving Davis his due respect. He was just on his radio show.
Davis is also a really cool guy.

Here's one of the worst examples of the national media throwing us under the bus and giving us no credit. If we're such a shitty team how come we've played close games with 3 of the NFLs best teams? Smh

He had to because our defense was leaking pretty bad, and he knew we needed to score. If he kept his foot on the pedal from the start of the 3rd period we would have never been in that situation. When you have someone down you step on their throat. We haven't done that yet when we have a lead. We try to protect a lead by playing conservative. It's hard to dispute that point.

I dont dispute it at all, I agree. In theory it makes sense this team should be able to get a lead and pound the ball and rely on the D, however, reality to this point is the D gives up points and plays, so I agree.
That said, there was pretty quick adjustment to crank it back up.
