The people saying Geno Smith sucks after 1 preseason game sound as dumb as the people saying Tavon Austin was a bust after 1 preseason game.

Its freaking preseason, people need to get a grip.

As far as Mark Sanchez goes, come on man. He has the lowest QBR of ANY QB IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL who has been a starting QB for 4 years. Yea, let that sink in.
No one's saying he's going to suck forever but he DID suck vs. the Giants and very clearly isn't ready to be a starter.

When a QB does well in the preseason, one has to take it with a grain of salt. Defenses usually aren't scheming the offense and in general are pretty vanilla. But when a QB sucks vs. those same defenses, you don't just brush it off like it was meaningless. It's a red flag.

As far as Sanchez having a low QBR, what does that say about Smith when he plays worse and makes Sanchez look like the better option?

Rex Ryan's media meltdown last night was a product of his own creation. Remember when he first got there the media and him were best buds. He played to the media. Said exactly what they wanted to hear. Now they expect those same results and now the heat is hot in the kitchen and Rex Ryan can't produce the same answers he once did. That is why I appreciate Belichicks, Fishers, Garrets, Shannahan and John Fox approach to the media. Although we know Belichick is in a a class of his own.

I agree. The worst thing Ryan has done is change who he is to try and protect his job. He's bowing down and bending over for the new GM and it's all in vain. He's going to lose his job and he's going to do it with no balls. If Sanchez is his guy then he needs to stand behind him and have some conviction in his own decision.

Acting like the GM isn't currently calling all the shots and for him to just toe the company line has made me lose respect for him. Throwing Sanchez to the wolves has me not even liking him.

It's so obvious that Rex is gonna get canned sometime this year if not on "black Monday" that Geno is a lose/lose situation. The next coaches will not want Geno if he doesn't play well, and even if he does he can be used as trade bait. Rex Ryan screwed himself and Geno Smith.

It's funny, I saw a guy and his girlfriend at the store the other day and he was trying to get a hula-hoop going and he looked ridiculous. Much like I must look when I try to work one of those damn things. I mean, I used to play football, baseball, basketball, pool...all sorts of things that took skill and coordination and I have tried to work a hula-hoop and just can't do it.

I tried barely moving, I tried really exaggerating my movements and everything in between. So believe me, my sig is fascinating on many levels to me, too.

Anyone catch the Giants/Jets game? The one where Geno Smith was being handed the starting job as long as he didn't completely suck...and he proceeds to throw 3 first half interceptions.

So what does, I assume, the GM do? Forces Sanchez into the game with the scrubs in the 4th quarter. Ryan says it was all his decision but he's just in denial thinking no one will notice he's the biggest lame duck there ever was. So Sanchez gets pummeled because of horrible blocking and injures his shoulder.

I guess that takes care of the so-called competition. What a train wreck the Jets will be this year and for years to come if that GM has anything to do with it. I'm no Sanchez fan but that's about the lowest BS I've seen from a team in a while.

can't....read...post.....too much...dickstraction..

I'm glad everyone likes the sig but I actually wanted something that was relatively "safe for work". Had no idea this was from an "art film".
