I'm probably in the minority here but .... I think the Rams are going to have BEASTS at the OLB spots this season.

My concern is not with any position group. I think we have the personnel to easily be top ten. my concern is a first time DC in a pandemic season

yep, look what happened to the rams offense when they hired mcdouche and then the owners locked out the players. it was a disaster.

admittedly, these d players are much better than the offensive players back then but they still need time to install the d on the field before the season begins.

The Rams will have two very good edge rushers going into the future in Floyd and Lewis. Now with AD and Robinson playing the interior d-line, this will be one of the best defensive fronts in the NFL. They can get pressure with just 4 so I can see a whole lot of throws into tight coverages and the INT's stacking up. When Burgess takes over for Johnson they will have wolves in the secondary with speed. This team is set up to be a contender for a long time. Those idiots predicting a last-place finish in the division are simply showing how little they know. How can you make predictions about a team if you don't know it?

The Rams will have the best defense in the division and probably the best WRs as well. With Akers and Henderson, this team is loaded on both sides of the ball. I can't wait!

Love the optimism, but the front 7 has a ton to prove and none of their DL are a factor as pass rushers except for Donald. They need to add another disruptive pass rusher next year among their down three.

My optimism for the edge guys and the future are about Orwonko and Lewis. I fear Floyd is just a stop gap this year.

If they give Donald some help next, or if Day or Gaines take a huge leap this year, then I will share your optimism.

Burgess is taking over for Weddle not Johnson. Unless you have proof to the contrary.

I am thinking it will be Rapp and Jonson at S.

Not a strict Strong Safety (Rapp) vs Free Safety (Johnson) distinction but with Rapp playing closer to the line more often than Johnson.

See Burgess more in the slot. More of a replacement for Robey-Coleman.

Think the position flexibility of all three will be utilized, and a benefit.

No Burgess is not... Unless you have proof to the contrary (I like this game!).
Sorry I guess I could have said that differently. But to say Burgess is taking over for JJ as if it’s a fact just pissed me off.

I’d guess he meant after 2020 when JJ is a FA and potentially (some might say likely due to salary cap issues) leaves.

I really hope you are right. But, I find it hard to believe that Floyd will be one of those BEASTS from what I've seen. And especially, since he wasn't one with a front that had studs like Khalil Mack AND Akeim Hicks getting so much attention by opposing offenses.

excited to watch him play every week now and greatly underestimated what he’d do reunited with Staley.:beer2:

I’d like my crow medium rare with some Cholula please.

Hey, it's all good. Gotta love it when you eat crow in a good way; it means the team did well.

I've been dreading this one getting dredged up lol. I was lukewarm on it and boy howdy did I underestimate him.

Floyd's one of my favorite players now. The guy is so much better than the stats show IMO.

Nailed it.

And some of you....wooof. Next time let things play out?
Without looking back I’m going to guess I wasn’t happy with how much we signed him for with our cap situation but thought he could be good and trusted the coaches with the signing.

Honestly as time goes on, I pay less and less attention to the cap. I really don't care about it, only about what players come in and how they contribute.

Much like draft picks and the reach/value jargon, using contract value as a measuring stick for the type of player, I just scroll past these days.

I believe Gurley is an $8Mil cap relief. The extra $2.5Mil if he passes his Falcons physical.

I don't think the cap is as bad as it's being made out to be.

yeah it seems like the rams are in cap hell but they have always found a way to make it work

Yep !! Robinson is an ascending player
& a position of need. Should fit really well.
Floyd is a Staley guy and has a relationship with him which Mcvay
Likes.
Add John Bonamego just to HELP people connect the dots.

Would be a bad look(my Demoff post) & I would lose a lot of respect for The Rams FO if this played out of poor salary cap use. Build this thing right. The Rams could get Comp picks moving forward if things workout like it should.
I’m calling for a STUD RB in 2020 draft. Then add some more defensive help & a WR in this deep class.
— Noteboom is my question mark. No knowing how bad his injury is the worst part. It would give a better insight on the draft.

FIRST OFF -THIS NOT APRIL FOOLS so

THIS REPOST SUCKS!

I waited & think I went off on all The NEGATIVITY. Using sarcasm saying to get rid of everybody because of salary cap concerns.

The Rams answered all my concerns.
Robinson I thought was going to be a
Better Player up front.

Floyd will get The Rams a Comp Pick back so who knows what happens now?

I’ve been disappointed in
-Josh Reynolds the most.

The Rams signed Copper Kupp before 2020 season?

Did draft Aykers 2020 & looks like #1 draft pick value. —Drafting on potential & youth? Not 5th year option & is only 21. It takes more physically on young players.

Jefferson got that 1st season in as well.

Ebukham was a disappointment. Thought comp pick?

Everett a lot less, but a little of the same.Cap cost now? Excellent player but at what cost & might not get a real big contract than if he put up better numbers.Improved his blocking very much.

Troy Hill for all that wanted to just Cut him for salary cap reasons. I can tell you what you can do!! Will just say The Rams were lucky he put up those 18 points when he did.

Gurley- went on record & got blast.Wanted to trade to Miami for a little cap relief instead of straight release.

Oh Yeah about the QB issue? Wolford was the right call, especially in hindsight with Covid.

Noteboom to me was a big big surprise from his injury.Thought it was coach talk that he would be healthy starting the season. Now does he get benched? I say Corbett is odd man out.
