I just really hope his middle name isnt Kevin or Kyle.
That could get a little awkward...

This is a WHOLE different Rams culture. Offense is clearly a strength and McVay wants to improve it even more. No stone unturned. Love it.

Who wouldn't want to work with Sean Mcvay ?

Has there ever been a coach more open to suggestion , help or brainstorming . Most of the guys my age think they know everything , especially a rookie coach of the year in the nfl . However mcvay seems to love learning , instead of thinking he knows defense he brings in wade Phillips. He has already got a few guys promoted and it would be a huge opportunity for any ncaa coach to work with mcvay.

I love this coach more and more every week, again thank you les and management ! Best rams move in over a decade !!

Getting him for the rest of this season would allow McVay to pick his brain.
And for Kingsbury to get a valuable inside look at a Super Bowl run before going back to college (if that's what he does.). Wouldn't hurt the recruiting at USC...

It's a win/win.

McVay can get a great bead on what's been working in college and Kingsbury would get some amazing NFL experience with one of the best offensive coaching in the game.

It's recruiting season and USC not having an OC makes things difficult. Also they're competing with a proven offensive mastermind in Chip Kelly for recruits, so this midweek deadline may be accurate:

I'm really not sure about the NFL HC talk.

Has to be real tough on USC (boo hoo!) -- wait and risk recruits or set a deadline and risk losing Kliff.

oh its absolutely true, and even signing on with a team like the Rams for the rest of the year likely means no college football for him next season. the next 2 months are huge in recruiting and no team is going to not have a HC or OC for that period

College HCs don’t tend to succeed going straight to NFL HC.

Obviously, most will know Kingsbury for his time at Texas Tech and the dynamic offenses he led there. This reminds me of Belichick bringing in Chip Kelly a year or two before Kelly came into the league. With all the focus and innovation on offense, bringing in a guy like Kingsbury would have some nice benefits. One would hope he would bring in some new wrinkles that add to the production and help the team get over the hump in crucial situations.

Kingsbury is going to be a highly sought after coach soon but is stuck in a bit of a purgatory in this current time frame, so it's a good time to bring him in for a short commitment for the rest of the year. He adds it to his résumé and the Rams get to use whatever knowledge he has to benefit the team. Seems like an "everybody wins" situation.

EDIT: I didn't realize there was a post on this already. My bad.

Obviously mcvay thinks any inside info on Patrick mahomes would be useful for a likely Superbowl rematch
