Maybe "Brian Allen" is Leonard Floyd's nickname.
Did anyone see the starting OL graphic at the beginning of yesterday's game? When they showed our starting OL, it said:

Whit, Shelton, Allen, Corbett, Edwards

But thats not the OL we rolled out there. Obviously Evans played RT (and was pretty bad) but the rest of the OL was our usual starting 4, with Shelton back to the bench. I wonder if McVay was going to shake things up and then last minute changed his mind. It would make sense he was hesitant to start Evans and we all saw why. Maybe he didn't want that big of a shuffle and position changes in a week with no practice? Thought it was interesting.

Definitely most happy for Gay & Allen. Both somewhat came out of nowhere. Congrats dudes!

Yea I noticed that to.

I wonder if Shelton wasn’t ready or Mcvay had a change of heart last second.

Would have been nice to see what Shelton had at guard for next year in case they sign Allen.

Evans was a big liability in the pass game but did have some nice blocks in the run game. He is what he is at this point which is a low level backup that probably is on his way out of the NFL.

The prob with Centers is they can be carried a bit by good OGs with combo blocks. In our case the Center also has the benefit of a QB who is strong on protections behind him too. So I'm not sure what we have with Allen as far as whether the team is going to bring him back. I do think he's good on the move/pulling, but our scheme hasn't been doing a ton of that, seems like we've had a ton of power of late with the Center having duo help on his assignments.

I found it interesting that Faulk said on the Eisen show that Shelton was better than Allen in the run game. I don't disagree either there tbh but he would know. Power is definitely not Allen's greatest asset.

So before the season started, wonder what reaction a poster would've gotten if he said, "Ya never know, Brian Allen could make the Pro Bowl"

Unbelievable

No one here recognizes Matt Gay an all-pro?

At the beginning of last year we had a mystical group of kickers to NOT choose from after the exit of GZ.

Then through the miracle of Johnny Hekker we have an all-pro kicker. Being a former high school kicker I find that pretty awesome. And pretty damn important!

We were watching him before the game yesterday practice kicks and he was hitting 50% from the 60 yards and 100% from 55 yards. We were really amazed at his accuracy. But he had a bit of a gimp. Very noticeable to where we were genuinely concerned. But still hitting 100% from 55 yards in.

When we went for that FG from 55 yards last night I wondered how many fans were wondering why at that point of the game? Watching him beforehand, I got it.

We all loved "Money". I am more impressed with Matt Gay.

GO RAMS!!!

when they mentioned bruce's record during the broadcast of the game meyers said in 95 the gsot. seriously man? you'd think people who work around football their whole lives would retain some kind of memory of great football teams.

.
I heard that also on the replay. I didn't do the homework but really? In 1995 Isaac caught a record amount of passes? REALLY?

Those were the dog years of Rams football but could not remember.

YES! 1999 makes sense.

he did set the record in 95. it was just meyers mentioning the gsot like it happened in 95. not sure if that's what he meant but it sure sounded like he was saying the gsot was in action in 95.

Yeah, on Dec 24 of 1995 Isaac Bruce set the record for what was (at the time) the most single-season receiving yards in history, at 1781 yards.

Unfortunately, on the very same day, Jerry (freaking) Rice surpassed that yardage total at 1848 yards.

Always pissed me off that Bruce couldn't enjoy his record-setting accomplishment because a new record was set that same damn day!

BTW, Bruce's 119 receptions in 1995 was the best total in Rams history, until Cooper just passed it this year (wow). All time NFL receptions record is 149.

I’ll always say I drink the Kool-aide.I’ve never been a numbers guy.
Raheem Morris’s says a stat guy. Then again I’m one that says stats don’t lie.

Going back to that time & place I wish I stayed in NY that summer.Wish I would have went to Ireland for a wedding.Anyways I also wish I would have payed more attention to my on welfare's.

There wasn’t many people that knew how good The Rams were than myself. My biggest thing was to finally beat the 9ers.Talk about a F@d up streak. This 5 game streak sort of sucks, but I think this Rams team is showing they can be physical.

The Pro Bowl ? Hope The Rams players can’t play in it. Just to bring back bad memories again.Fisher stunk letting Gurley sit out against the 9ers only to play in the Pro Bowl 2 weeks later.

Is the Pro Bowl after the season? I use to like it,but not now.AD99 enjoys it so I’m in if he is in.
