Nobody defended the guy more than me, but it was clear this year he had no future with the team.
I think that's been clear for some time tbh. Hoped he'd improve but he is what he is. Excellent kid but lacks that dog McVay demands with his offense in particular his playmakers.

He had a chance this season for sure to make hay. Up until last week he had the most snaps for WR. They sure gave him every opportunity to shine

The steady and reliable 6th and 7th round swap. Something is better than nothing.

It was time. Jefferson made some plays for the Rams so he wasn't a total bust, It was time to move on.

Seeing that McVay knew him that well is more surprising that he let him go. But I like the whatever's best for the team mentality.
