Rams have easiest remaining schedule in the NFL
By: Cameron DaSilva

After the Los Angeles Rams ripped off seven straight wins to start the season, they entered a difficult stretch of games against playoff contenders. From Week 8-11, they faced the Packers, Saints, Seahawks and Chiefs, all of which boasted elite-level quarterbacks.

Going 3-1 in that span of four games would have been satisfying and realistic, and that’s exactly what the Rams did. They only fell to the Saints in Week 9 before beating the Seahawks and Chiefs on Monday night, getting through that four-game gauntlet nearly unscathed.

Now, things get easier for the Rams – much, much easier.

As of now, they’ll face just one team that’s above .500 right now: the Chicago Bears in Week 14. Their other opponents are the 4-6 Lions, 4-6 Eagles, 2-8 Cardinals and 2-8 49ers. The Bears are legitimate playoff contenders, but even with their 7-3 record mixed in, the Rams have the easiest remaining schedule in the league.

It’s not just based on their opponents’ combined record, either. It’s also the easiest remaining schedule based on DVOA, which is a staple of Football Outsiders.

The Rams’ schedule hasn’t been a cakewalk by any means. They’ve faced the sixth-toughest slate of games to date, which includes wins over the Chargers, Vikings, Seahawks, Packers and Chiefs.

Given the ease of their remaining five games, the Rams have a legitimate chance to go 15-1.

Stars might just be aligning for us to have home field advantage against the Saints in the playoffs.

All this means is more "well who have they REALLY beaten?" bullshit.

Great to hear, especially being relatively healthy. Bears game concerns me a bit but we can get through it.

The only game that worries me is in the cold against the bears . Saints have two Carolina games and a Pittsburg game left . Maybe we really can secure the top seed.

Why not show the Saints schedule too. That's the story line.

From Week 8-11, they faced the Packers, Saints, Seahawks and Chiefs, all of which boasted elite-level quarterbacks.

Rams getting through the last 4 games at 3-1 is a feather in their helmet. Too bad the lose to the Saints. Still have to come out a play hard. No let downs heading to the playoffs.

6th toughest schedule so far. And remember, the teams they've played have gone 1-10, hurting their records tremendously. Seattle for instance would be 5-3 - and 2 of those losses would have been against highly likely playoff teams (Bears and Chargers). Instead they are 5-5, and 4th for the wild card race.

To stop and think. 15-1.

What a hell of a year. What a treat for us fans.

not that we aren’t aiming for the Super Bowl, but 15-1 is quite an accomplishment is we can beat the bears.

Can't argue with that, but I think we're evolving without him too, with some others stepping up and gaining experience. What if the game starts rapidly slowing down for Josh Reynolds? Might be difficult for defenses to keep a bead on us from here on out. Plus we're getting Aqib back out there, which hopefully will stabilize things a bit for our D.

It looks good on paper - now we just need to put the pedal to the metal - and hope the saints slip up a little.

The saints will lose a game. Either to Pittsburgh or one of the Carolina games. They will have to come to L.A. for the NFC Championship Game....and, then of course, they won't have to worry about playing in the Superbowl.

Say what you will. The Bears scare me, and the Eagles have plenty of time to right their ship before the end of season

Gotta think Panthers can win once and Steelers will go gladly go back an forth scoring points w/ them. So possibly 1-2 loses is "realistic" in my books.
